Are there any other college students that have to deal with finals occuriing right around release?
I personally am dealing with 3 upper level CS courses 1 programming course and 1 upper level IT course all of which are throwing finals at me on or around release. I have one final ON the 15th, which is really going to suck seen as how I will have right around zero sleep that night.
I know colleges have different schedules, but is anyone else wondering how they are going to juggle shit?
School is paramount to gaming for me, but... at the same time... I refuse not to take part in launch fun-ness.
Luckily mine are next week but I understand the frustration. I had a Calculus final the day Cata came out and I could have done better if I had studied harder / didn't stay up all night.
You can still take part in launch and still study .. it will just require disciplined time management.
i'll have my exams coming up right around then as well! Have to do a lot of work beforehand, because god knows little will be done after release...
Yeah, I'm actually working on projects as we speak to try to get as far ahead as I can. Sadly some of my classes don't allow for DIY scheduling and I have to take tests/complete projects on a given date

Time management = important. The thing that really erks me is that for years I've been saying that I'm going to take 2 weeks off from work//put real life on hold just to take in the game when it first comes out, and I don't think that my professors will be very understanding as far as accommodating my gaming goes.

ahahahahaha, i dont know how obliging they'll be, but you never know, they might be conveniently "come down with something" around release

Im done next week, couldn't have planned any better. At least for you CS doesn't involve to much studying does it? I took cs java 1 before I slapped some sense into myself and although it was really time consuming once the tests arrived there wasn't much to study for.
I'm in a bad situation too, no exams this year but lots of essays and work to do on my thesis I'm thinking of trying to squeeze in 1 or 2 solid days of playing, then back to study with like 1 hour a day of D3 at most.
When Cata came out I had a hell of a hard to studying. Graduated in December, so I'm all good to go on the 15th and onwards... Work might get in the way for 8 hours a day, but I just have to remind myself that without the job there's be no Diablo 3... So I press on. Good luck to all you gaming college peeps... I know how it feels when Blizzard (purposely?) release a game during finals... I'm rootin' for y'all!
It honestly couldn't have been more perfect for me. I have my last final on the 11th and then I'll head home in preparation for release on the 15th. Of course I do start my summer session two weeks later but I'm only taking one course so there'll be plenty of time for Diablo.
I'm procrastinating on my very last paper riighttttt now. I really need to do it...
