Any other long time fans of the series and longtime posters on this site still as excited to play diablo 3 as they were before beta? Seems like the only thing I have seen posted is negative things, I feel so far they have stayed pretty true to the series and I'm even more pumped than before.
I'm pretty excited and scared as shit that my computer might not be able to run it since beta didn't support my graphics card.

I'm stoked, but I do have to say there are somethings that bother me a little. It's nothing that will make me hate the game it's just that I was a little surprised with some things.

Not even Death will save you from Diablo Bunny's Cuteness!
Very excited. Been a fan since the beginning, I remember being unable to log on battle.net on our IBM Aptiva because you needed 16MB of ram and it only had 12MB (it came with 8, my dad bought a 4MB upgrade though, I dont remember but I think the price was absurd by today's standards)
That story had nothing to do with this thread, but again, yes Im excited.
I am super stoked, From all of the amazing work that Blizzard has put in and from my time with the beta I'd say that this is gearing up to be my favourite game of all time!! My only majour gripe is the online only play as I live in the far north where internet sucks.
I'm still super excited. Not much long to go yet now... but still a few weeks to wait. It's going to be so exciting when we can finally log in and play for real, and actually have something to do after killing the Skeleton King!
I'm still as pumped as I was in '08. Things have changed a lot on the journey, but the game is finally coming out, and it is a glorious time to be a Diablo fan! WOOT!
As much negative crap as I post or some others post, I'm willing to give the full game one full honest try.
It's exactly how I felt when I played Final Fantasy 7 and I said to myself, "You know, I owe it to Final Fantasy 7 to play through Final Fantasy 8." Ironically, I clearly remember playing through 8 (not really enjoying the game, because of some really poorly designed game mechanics) and quitting RIGHT BEFORE the final boss. I simply didn't have the interest to finish the damn game.
I was pretty excited when D3 was announced, but that was like, what? 3 years ago? I was more excited about SC2's reveal, but meh. My excitement returned when they revealed the old rune system. It felt like the game was really coming along and that they had their crap together.
But then after 5 years of designing and playing their game, they suddenly just felt like they should redesign major systems over this past year. So now I'm just going to play it just to give it a shot. :/

Some people tell me I'm going to hell. I just let them know that I've already packed my bags!
Hell YEA I'm excited. Launch day is either going to be epic WIN or epic FAIL. My video card is 8600m GT bottom of the totem pole and the minimum requirement for the Mac. Well I have Windows 7 on my laptop so I don't know if that makes any difference. Beta runs like shit on all low settings, hope the optimization works some magic and lets the game be somewhat playable in multiplayer. I can't be busting demon ass with this ~5-10 fps garbage during big fights... Sheeeeeet son.

It was. Back then, a 4 MB SIMM chip would have probably cost you close to $200 USD for a 'good' brand. A subpar brand, about $120, give or take.
I'm sooooooooo ready for the game. I'll admit the first pics I saw of the graphics I was a lil put off by the wowishness and color scheme. Other than that I've been super hyped about it from the get go (aside from thinking it was going to come out last year....). I avoided the beta till the open beta last weekend and everything seemed great... I hardly noticed the graphics / color scheme... and if all else fails I can always try that filter that's been going around.
I really like almost everything they've done tbh... I think a lot of the nay-saying comes from a lotta kiddos who played the @#$% outa d2... Don't get me wrong... I played the @#$% outa d2 too but after awhile the whole 'planning your char out before you even start' thing really wore on me... I think a lot of people grew accustomed to it and because the char options were more or less final that endgame chars that were successful people had a lot of pride in cause it took so much work. And now they're more or less taking that away from them. I think its awesome but yea I can see why that would make a lot of people angry. People like that keep saying they dumbed the game down... but in reality they just made it less of a time sink in a really good way.
I am excited as i was back before i got diablo 1 and diablo 2 which is about the same as being a little kid and waking up ur parents at 5am because its Christmas morning and u cant sleep so lets get it started. Except its weeks away and i sit up devouring all the info i can. Can't wait for all the haters to play this game and realise that in fact it is actually the greatest. And looking forward to lolzing at the few who will stick by their guns and still say that diablo 3 is a failure (even tho they probably secretly play it 8 hours a day anyway).

You'd better believe i'm excited. Each day until the 15th for the last 2 months has been like watching a pot of water boil. That date can't come fast enough.

In fact, I can't think of a single moment I was not excited for the game.

It doesn't work.

Resisting is futile. You WILL succumb. So sayeth The Lord of Terror and so it shall be!
