I wanted to ask help on a specific topic that was bugging me for a while now and is very important to me...
I am getting married in 04/06 (day/month) which leaves only 19 day to play Diablo III...
I have 3 options here:
1) Canceling the wedding and playing Diablo until I am satisfied (1-3 years).
2) Postponing the wedding for a few months...
3) Getting married and postponing Diablo for a few months.
ofc I will do the number 3 here but I actually told my future wife about that case and that most gamers will pick option 1 or option 2...
She didn't belive me...
So I am creating this topic to prove her wrong (or maybe I will be surprised and all of you will actually choose to get married in time?)
p.s
Forgive my English
O.K
Looks like some of the people can't read posts until the end... So I will explain the situation a little bit better.
This isn't a troll post. I am NOT asking the forum what to choose for me... I AM getting married (and in time!) [as stated in the ORIGINAL post!].
This post is for my wife, to show her how many people actually think and act according to some games (in this case - Diablo).
We are gamers... we think in a different way and we see things in a different perspective...
we are the people that say "be soon in bed" to our beloved one's while continuing the game session till when the sun rises and then we try to sneak into bed like we were there the whole night.
I was waiting for Diablo 3 for half of my life(!)... and I must confess... the first thing that was on my mind when I saw the release date is to shit on everything and just game till my eyes bleed...
I told it to my wife and she laughed at it saying I am crazy... well showing this poll result to her will make her understand a little the gamer's spirit.
And to those people saying: "just get married and play the game"... Well its not that easy,,,
Planning and arranging wedding is a lot of work... especially few weeks before the event itself and after the wedding? well... you have the honey moon then you need to go back to work and prove yourself there once again... because you just missed 2 weeks of work time (and I work at 2 jobs - meaning my spare time is slim to non)... then you need to look for buying an apartment and from time to time eat and sleep + studying - to try to get a better job in the future...
All of the above are postponing game sessions to a very little amount.... And although I am a gamer that can game for hours straight (and I love it) I have more responsibility then before, thus I must play less.
I really doubt you'll get more 1s and 2s compared to 3s.

My place really was here. I was too foolish and stubborn to notice. But, what I truly hoped for then was here. Why do I always realize it When I've already lost it.
Most gamers would SAY they'd pick option 1 or 2, but most would actually pick option 4 which is to never engage in face-to-face human interaction in the first place.

...and if you disagree with me, you're probably <insert random ad hominem attack here>.
Gratz on the marriage bub I'm in the same boat getting married on 06/09/12 (D/M/Y) and have my canadian buddies coming in on June 7th so i will play the crap out of the game until then but yea definately not worth delaying a wedding.
If you are actually serious in this question then I suggest that you do not get married and play all the video games you want for the rest of your life.
ps
I am recently married and it has not stopped me from playing video games.
So if you're serious - Canceling wedding if you've really found love of your life is just pathetic even if D3 is on the way. It's going to be great game but really?
Did my post was that long?
I stated that I will be getting married and playing diablo at some later date.
If only I had the balls to do n'1 or 2 options...
but as tanis0 stated :"...but most would actually pick option 4 which is to never engage in face-to-face human interaction in the first place"
Obviously #3, though ideally I'd be marrying a guy who would be excited enough about D3's launch that he'd wonder how exactly to awkwardly ask if we could postpone the wedding so we could level faster.
Option 4: Get married and still play Diablo 3
OR
Option 5: Get your wife-to-be more into gaming andhave her play the same games you do like I did 2 years ago with wow, now she's one of the highest DPS in our guild and is the owner of the guilds first EVER legendary and is also just as pumped for D3 as I am (we're getting married in 3 weeks and will be back form the honeymoon JUST in time for D3)
Chose the first option because I'm not getting married. Unless I marry the game, in which case it's a win-win situation because I'll spend ALL my time with it.

I should have done option 4 XD
life>>>>>>>>>>>>>>games any time, even whit a game like this.

The question or the amount of people that chose the first option?
