1. Improved graphics.
Cartoony? no, and definetly do not want life like. Its a fantasy style game not real life.
2. New skill system, awesome and complely cool. Each ability has 6 different effects and looks!
-aww cant stat ur char? or skills? who gives a shit this creates viability based on gear. You can find the same end game armor as me BUT mine could have 6 diff stats then yours!
3. RMAH, OK IDC ABOUT THE RMAH BUT GMAH is good. No more in game trading and scammers. You can legit get rid of your items and gold is now valuable.
4. No pvp toggle switch like d2! yes their putting a real pvp system in with meaning. No more pk at fence.
So what it wont be at launch! level up,get gear focus on the game!
5. Shared mf! just awesome, dont like it? go solo and stop crying.
6. Replayability. Over 2trillion builds? say what jay wilson
7. Crafting, simply put thats just cool.
8. B.net 2.0 cleaner,smoother. And still has a chat function/channel not a big deal.
9. Blizzard rocks even tho their nit picky but thats gd for us (:
10. I so forgot the 10th so you fill here (: people will be trolls about how the game is being made. Overall if we wanted diablo 3 to be exactly like diablo 2 then this game would suck. New mechanics and feautures create a better game. ITS STILL DIABLO! With a 2012 taste to it. If you like d2 and not d3,then stick to d2 and enjoy ugly graphics and such.
Now that the date has been out, i really dont care much about how long they took to get this done. I'm sure that it's going to be amazing from day one and i hope that anything that needs to be fixed once it goes live can be handled swiftly with minimal downtime.
Also, once everyone levels to 60 and gears up and has time to experience multiple characters and build types, then it will be about time for the pvp to come out. I much prefer the pvp that they have planned for D3 as opposed to the D2 pvp.
With the graphics. I feel that the "cartoony" style is just very iconic blizzard. It fits well with their overall aesthetic in warcraft, starcraft, as well as diablo. In my own opinion, i prefer my video games to look unrealistic and cartoony. I just dont find it as easy to escape from reality when you are confronted with super realistic art.
Crafting looks absolutely awesome! Im looking forward to grinding those up and getting all of the recipes.
My #10 would be the physics, love seeing skeletons flying all over the place.
Now everyone has the same chance when you're in a party to get some loot, which is what it's all about. (and demon slaying in various and fun ways )
Edit: I think It also promotes more co operative play. Diablo 2s loot system wasn't the best, when a boss died you had everyone randomly clicking or using a bot trying to get all the loot, which was terrible. By implementing shared magic find you know longer have to make your own game to magic find and play by urself just to get drops.

agree, and the nephalem buff makes you able to have good MF/GF without sacrificing other stats. Of course gear will have multiple affixes per piece such as a piece that has +int, +GF, etc. but this buff sounds like if you are doing well either solo or grouped you will be rewarded with loot explosions of great quality
you forgot the most important thing that will make it or break it for me... more enemy affixes, this will make the game more dynamic and will add alot of depth and randomness to encounters.
(please blizzard don't disappoint me, mass effect 3 broke my heart already)
Not sure how you an say battle.net 2.0 is honestly something the makes Diablo 3 good. There are a lot of things that make Diablo 3 good, as mentioned on the rest of your list, but I highly doubt you REALLY think battle.net 2.0 is one them.
The best thing I can say about battle.net 2.0 is that it's comparable to the battle.net we have in Diablo2 and Warcraft3.
The biggest thing that 2.0 has over 1.0 is better cheat/hack/bot prevention.
All the things 2.0 is lacking:
Custom games: If I want to make a "Trade" game, or a "Act 1 MF" game with a level 60 requirement, I can't do it. 2.0 only allows you to make games based on a chosen quest (as far as we've seen in the beta... so I think it's safe to assume it's the same in retail unless they redo the entire system).
Public chat channels: 2.0 chat channels suck. It's tiny, hard to read, and doesn't even feel like it's part of the game. It's clunky to say the least. In 1.0 you get to see everyone in the channel with their character avatar that shows their gear and level. I think you can click on someones name in 2.0 and click again to see their character... but like I said, it's clunky.
Community: I'm playing with millions of other people, where are they? This has partly to do with chat channels; but also just the general feel. If I log into Diablo2 right now, it still feels like there's hundreds of people around me, because I see all their avatars coming in-and-out of the chat channels, I see people asking questions, looking for trades, and just hanging out. I haven't seen that in the D3 beta, nor Starcraft 2.
Innovation: 1.0 was something amazing and ground breaking when it was introduced. 2.0 is just recycling what's become standard over the past few years. Achievements, not new. Friends list, not new. Party chat, not new. Character inspection (for gear, skills, etc.), not new. Auction house, not new. I'm not sure what they could have done with 2.0 to make it new and innovative... but this is Blizzard we're talking about, they can make magic; but they decided to make 2.0 system "average" - Remember, this is all Battle.net 2.0 I'm talking about here, not the game itself.
I'm sure I could come up with other reason why Battle.net 2.0 isn't one of the things that will make D3 great, but I need to wake up in a couple hours. And let me make myself extra clear, I think D3 will be, and already is a great game... but NOT thanks to battle.net 2, thanks solely to the gameplay itself.
@ greatmars I forgot all about that. With all the enemy affixes that we dont even know about yet, sounds like hell and inferno are going to get pretty intense. I plan to play softcore and i hope blizzard holds true to their "you will die" promise once we hit inferno. I want to be forced to play better in order to get the best gear available.
