If I live in Australia/New Zealand/Southeast Asia, what server will I play Diablo III on?
Diablo III players in Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia will, by default, connect to the Americas region. By connecting to this region, players will have a wider pool of people to play with and access to a more vibrant and active auction house marketplace. Further details on regional connection options and auction house functionality will be posted at www.diablo3.com prior to release.
I stand corrected. I had known about this, but thought I had read that aussies would have their own server..Either way, the latency shouldn't be as bad as the beta's latency is. Cheers!
Proli like the "Australian" wow servers, there still in the US. :-(
Ill do a bit of google whacking but I do recall (iirc) IGN being told Blizzard isnt to fond of our fibre link and how they want more bandwitch for their servers and if AUS's link to the US was beefed up more they would put local servers here.

Super Cop! He knows where you live, he knows where you sleep.
I've only really had like 300ms at best playing WoW.
Much of the time it would be at 500,
Didn't much matter outside of mass mob fights that would lock things up still manage to carry.
D3 will be this consistently though.
Wait and see it is though.
I get somewhere around 150-200ms on Frostmourne, so I don't imagine that the pings in D3 will be much higher. In the grand scheme of things, it really won't make that much of a difference.
I also live in Adelaide, I get on average 230-320 ms (ish) based on playing WoW, League of legends, and every other online game ever. The way Blizz described the client based calculations during combat is interesting, i will have to wait and see if there is still a noticeable delay, but as long as i can hold down teleport on my wizard without teleporting to THE SAME SPOT like 6 times.... (omg diablo 2.. kill me now..) then i will be happy. if i am fucking rubber banding around everywhere and dying on HC chars and stuff, i will be so disappointed in D3 then i might just cry.

You ping shouldnt be too much different from the rest of Australia. 200-300ms.
