When Reforging a set/legendary in the cube should you continue to reroll the same item until you get it primal or only do it so many times, then salvage it and use another? At the moment I reforge each one 5-10 times then salvage based on what I've heard. Is this correct?
What youve heard is nothing more than someone elses need to find a pattern in RNG
It makes no difference if you choose to reforge it 5 or 500 times, recieving a primal or ancient upgrade is RNG. Its no more likely to happen with a different piece and since the costs dont increase when using the cube theres no reason to salvage.
Its a weird system to have heard though, its either a confusion with the rising costs for enchanting at Myriam or its like someone heard about gamblers fallacy but then didnt fully understand it.
I like to have 2 of an item then if one rolls as a sorta good ancient, i'll roll the other to maybe get a primal, then if both are ancient, i'll use the weaker of the two ro reforge next.

Thanks in advance.
you can reroll an item as often as you want. no penalties are involved.

I appreciate the help, this is pretty common practice on console, I don't know if it got engrained by cheaters using the materials glitch or what.
Again, thank you for taking time to respond.
