First of all, let me say, I love Blizzard's game's soundtracks. But since Blizzard makes games that we play for years, and the same music gets boring after some point. So I started to create my possible playlist, and want to find new songs to add to the list...
My current playlist is:
1- Muse - Apocalypse Please
2- Justice - Genesis
3- Lacuna Coil - Halflife
4- Lush - Ocean
5- Muse - Butterflies and Hurricanes
6- Muse - Knights of Cydonia
7- Pixies - There goes my gun
8- Kurban - Sorma
9- Lacuna coil - Swamped
10 - Lacuna coil - Entwined
11- Massive Attack - Angel
12 - Bastion - Setting Sail, Coming Home
13 - Björk - Army of Me
I'm pretty sure I'll add to/change this list a lot, but I'm curious what will you be listening?
At first nothing. I usually like to take in the atmosphere and here the cool sound of the game. After I have played a while, I would put on Pandora and go to some comedy or hard rock.
I want to find some epic symphony orchestras I think that would be cool otherwise I'll be listening to a lot of electronic music probably I find it entrancing. Here's a few songs I'd be playing to if the game had come out already.
Holler if ya hear me - 2Pac vs Rusko Gimme the loot - Notorious B.I.G. (superginger mix)
Pep Talk (original) - Filthy Rehab
I think I like it - Fake blood
Humanize - TON!C
Run through the jungle - CCR (I love playing video games to this song)
Considering I purchased the Diablo III headset, I shall be listening to the amazing game music for quite some time lol, and after that I agree with AFd3, I'd like to find some awesome orchestra music to put on.
Well I would listen to the game sounds track till I get sick of it ( if the music is as good as it was in D2 then i won't every change it) I would then go to my Itunes and play. However that assuming that i get sick of the music. I still listen to the music when i play D2 and enjoy it. From what i have herd from D3 I think ill be enjoying the soundtrack for a loooooong time to come.
I'd 100% listen to the game's music and others sounds. It's not just the music for me, it's the whole package, characters talking, monsters dying sounds, ambient sounds (such as crows) =]
While I'm progressing through the game, game music for sure. If I am doing MF runs shuffle itunes which will vary from rap to rock to punk etc etc... If I am pvping it will be 50% game sound and 100% skype
Like everyone else, I'll start with the game music on full. Absorb some of that atmosphere. Then after a while, i'll switch between listening to some music/podcasts on iTunes and satellite radio. Kind of like what I do now with WoW.
For me playing Diablo is all about the music and overall sounds within the game. It just doesn't get any better than that in my opinion. If I was to listen to some music I would have to bring up Pandora and just hit random, anything from Sinatra, 80's to hard rock would be rocking my headset.
Game music at the start (Of course) then maybe after the first play through, either some dubstep, some solo guitar music, or some hardcore metal that would match it perfectly (I love rock music when slaughtering things!)

Well, as others have suggested the game sounds would of course take priority. Once I got tired of that or needed a change of pace, as my name might suggest, it will be my Megadeth channel on Pandora.
I can never understand how people listen to other music while playing a game like this.
The music creates atmosphere which adds to the game as a whole... while you're listening to your <insert band/dj/etc> you aren't immersed in the game.
A game like Diablo III will have an amazing sound track so I doubt I'll be listening to anything other than the in-game music for as long as I play it.
Even now... the strumming of the guitar/lute or whatever it is in D2 still sounds great.
At first I'll listen to the game's music and be fully immersed in the experience. Once my relationship with the game has become 'time to farm for x' and 'time to power level y' I'll switch to whichever music I currently have in Winamp.
Usually some form of rock or metal, I find good metal focusses me very well during grind sessions, keeps me on a nice, even rhythm.

In game sound until I know the game back to front left and right and upside down, at which point farming runs will be my entire iTunes playlist consisting of things like
Brand New
Underoath
Norma Jean
The Chariot
The Cure
At The Drive In
Grinspoon
and many many more.

I won't be listening to anything that doesn't stay in line with the awesome Diablo atmosphere!
