Apparently - this also has picked up the attention of some websites as well - I really have no opinion on this. I just want BlizzCon to happen already to find out the truth. - Website reports -
"I do have a friend that's affiliated over at Blizzard and I do know a few things here and there. However, I do not know everything 100% and I do not want to discuss his position or relationship with the company due to obvious reasons.
With that out of the way you can take this statement for what it is. I advice you take it with a grain of salt because anyone can say anything on the internet, the rest is up to your personal feelings.
I am not in any position too make myself look special or better than others or to brag about anything. I am here because it is exciting time for the fans (including myself) and everyone has their questions and opinions and ideas and there plenty of people who are thirsty for any kind of information they come and get. Well today is the day I decide to shed some light among Sanctuary.
Lets get to the meaty stuff.
° The next Diablo game is going to be fully Open World. All physically fluid in and out like World of Warcraft/Fallout/Assassin's Creed Oddysey etc..
° It's a sequel, Internally there are 2 names that they've been bouncing back and forth. Diablo 4 or Diablo: World of Sanctuary. Chance are most likely they'll stick with Diablo 4 for consistency.
° It is NOT single player only like the 4chan leak was suggesting and it has multiplayer and multiple classes. Class systems and multiplayer core parts of what makes a Diablo game.
° It will be played in a isometric view and most importantly it's an isometric MMO. So basically, think of the games like Lineage Eternal or Lost Ark but done by Blizzard and is in the Diablo universe.
° You can go anywhere and do anything whether that'd be quests, dungeons, slaying random mobs or even PvP among many other cool activities.
° There is a mainline quest line with a main plot that can be played solo with friends and other random people. However, there are no seperate acts. The world is giant and free. Most of your time though you'll be spending time on side activities.
° There is PvP, but I don't know exact details how it works.
° You can see and meet other people in towns and regions.
° I am not sure what the server capacity is or how many people a town or a zone/region can hold.
° It's running on a brand new engine that looks very modern and clean. (I think this is obvious anyways)
° The game is a lot darker than Diablo 3 but still stylized. Not ultra realistic, but dark enough. Think of Dark Souls artstyle but a tad less realistic. But yet close enough. It's hard to describe without seeing.
° I have no details in regards to some of the more core important stuff such as loot system (arguably the most important), how stats work, how many levels there are and what the endgame is like.
° However, I can assure you this will be treated as a live service game similar to Heroes of the Storm, World of Warcraft and Overwatch where you get in game events, special cosmetic items and etc. There will be always things to do and in a good Blizzard fashion they will be adding new systems over time and polishing the game throughout its life.
° Classic classes returning such as Barbarian, Sorceress, Amazon, Necromancer, Paladin.
° I have no information in regards to Diablo 1 or 2 Remaster.
° The game was being developed ahead of time with next gen consoles in mind. The game will be coming to PS5 and project Scarlett (Next Xbox) at some point in time.
This a next generation Diablo game but as we all know blizzard is great with optimization so don't be fearful about your pc setup as of now.
I saw this when it was originally posted; however, a person on Reddit claiming to know things about the next Diablo project Blizzard is working on is not really a trustworthy source. Someone who had substantial leaks regarding a new project would likely also have more evidence than just "a friend told me." If what he says turns out to be true, then awesome!... Otherwise, I would take everything he is saying with a huge grain of salt.
All these leaked are ridiculous and never confirmed. Speculations of fanboys of Diablo 4. We have necro in D2 & D3 also in D4 ? ahahahahahahahah
We also have the Barbarian in D2, D3 and possibly D4 as well? What would make it strange to have the Necro in it too?

Bashiok - Blizzard Representative - 08/01/2011 -"So how many skill combinations are there now? Well taking into account 6 active skills, all the rune combinations, and 3 passives we currently expect each class to have roughly 2,285,814,795,264 different build combinations."
"Hey, I thought you'd like the witty irony of grub-on-glowie violence!"
This "leaked" information sounds a lot like Lost Ark Gameplay. IF this is true, I would be happy to play it even though I don't like MMOs, but I highly doubt that this is legit.
3 weeks to go and we all should know what Blizzard has to offer.
With all the hype going on, I probably will lower my expectations a bit just to not get too disappointed when the cat is out the bag and its not what I hoped it would be what they want to announce.
Before even readin this post my biggest Diablo 4 wish was to be a Isometrick Hack&Slash MMO with some features taken stright from WoW and if what i read here is true i will be very pleased.
What i want for D4 is a loot system like in WoW with item levels and every difficulty in game droping a different item level, So if you are a better player you might play on higher difficulty and get better rewards. Also the warforge/titanforge system would be nice to have so the not so skilled players could have a chance to get better revards than the difficulty they are playing. I want Legendary items to be rare but not as rare as in vanilla d4. I want stats to be normalized like in WoW where your character normal stat would be to have 10-30 % crit and not crazy ammount like in d3 where the damage is out of control. I want fun challenging weekly quests with chance for better loot than usual. I want raids that require a party of 5 players. And a game that gets new patches with content every few months.
I think this is possible, d4 mmo has much more to offer than d4 "closed system" like d3. But making mmo of that magnitude and expectation is going to take loong time...(2020+) so i think we getting d3 expansion(new class, end game redesign...) i the meantime.

I have been playing WoW since 2006, and let me say, I want almost none of that in a new Diablo game. I like the idea of an open world game, but I don't want a WoW-clone for Diablo. Too many people to keep happy, too many balancing issues, too much gated content. I'll play it, but in a limited way, if it was like that. Part of the fun in Diablo is being really OP in certain spots. It's the loot hunt and character building that makes the game, for me anyway.
I think d4 if is in production it will be another cartoonish sh... like "D3"/Overshit/HotShit game so I dont care about d4. D1 hd mobile like "Belzebub" mod + D2 remake with qol is all and evene more than Im expecting. For me Blizz was over long time ago; after War3 RoCh and WoW classic, every game they made after was shit, including War3:TFT and ShitCraft2.
Sorry for my bad eng.
Not criticizing your English per se, but 2 questions: Why post in a forum about a Blizzard game in 2018 if you think their games are bad back to 2004? And why place "shit" in the game names? It just makes the post look childish.
If this was true, I'd feel really bad for the Torchlight MMO in the works. They said at one point they weren't actively working on one after 2 because Diablo 3 was really nailing that gaming niche and they didn't think they could compete. It would be the same thing all over again.

Seeing as D3 came out before T2, that sounds like code for "sales didn't meet our expectations."

Any opinions?
Fingers crossed that all of this sees the light of day. I'd happily pay $15/month for a World of Sanctuary MMO done right.

haha nice story bro on reddit some random guy who have friend in Blizzard...
False
You're a wizard Harry.....
if it is a mmo would be nice if they used their rumored project titan engine on it that was supposed to be for a next gen mmo
