Should be a simple enough question to mull over. I definitely miss my Javazon from D2 ( and her amazing farming abilities), I would have said my Frost Sorc but honestly, I think the Wizard may have more utility. My prediction is a lot of Paladin posts to appear in this thread lol...
I would without a doubt take the paladin. It really bugged me out figuring out that i wouldnt be able to make a hammerdin in d3. Having 2 or 3 hammerpalas in throne of destruction was awesome.
I actually kind of want to see Druids make a reappearance. I would love to see the Diablo III take on them, with such a new, visceral aesthetic to the game. I could imagine the werebears looking really good.
And Paladins would be interesting to see again. A fun zealadin would also look pretty cool with the newer graphics.
Hey bro, welcome to the forums. Good question, but it seems to be already engaged in this thread ==> http://www.diablofan...n-d3-expansion/. Come join us over here.
Actually my answer was Amazon lol. I never could get into playing the Paladin or Druid for that matter. I always rotated through my Axe Bard / JavaZon / and Frost Sorc. Glad to be here!
I must defnetley say the necromancer! I just loved playing it in diablo 2. Abit sad it didn't make it in D3. But we'll see if they add it at an expansion. OT: I think I will roll a Barbarian at first.
Druid. The Witchdoctor may be a representation of the elemental druids, but shapeshifters got left out in the cold along with the unusual bone and curse necros. The return of the Werewolves and bears would be a glorious day in Sanctuary.
I really wouldn't want to see the Necromancer in D3. Sure there are some more active builds with him, but the most popular way to play him - as a pet-based hero who doesn't do much himself - doesn't really gel with D3's design philosophy of putting the 'action' in 'action RPG' by having players take a more active role in combat, regardless of class.
The Monk is already a bit like a remixed Assassin, so I'd like to see the Druid imported the most. The Demon Hunter was originally concepted as a Ranger, so this leaves a nature-themed class still open for an expansion, and the Druid seems like a perfect choice.
So this is an easy one for me. The answer is the Druid and i'll explain why.
The amazon has alot in common with the Demon Hunter being the ranged specialist.
So importing her would be silly
The Necromancer has similarties with the Witch Doctor
The barbarian == barbarian (now that was hard )
Sorceress == Wizzard
Paladin has simliarities with the Monk both holy warriors auras and heals
The Assasin has similarities with both the Monk (combos) and the Demon Hunter (traps and devices)
Leaving one class: The Druid.
Shapeshifting is not present in Diablo 3 aside from the Archon and I would like to see a cool shapeshifter class that has different skills in different forms.
Why did you have to state such a valid argument! I was going to say the pally Never really was a druid fan
probably the amazon as it was one of my favorite classes in d2. although we already have the dh who specializes in ranged physical but mostly xbow and pistol xbow. there isnt a class that uses bows/javelin/spear so the amazon would be perfect.
A part of me wants to say paladin, because offensive auras were easy. But I don't want easy. I adored my assassin, and like that the demon hunter seems to have crossed the assassin and the amazon quite well, but won't get to test it out til I get a beta key.
