So when if comes to D3, what will be the specs of the system you intend to run it on?
Will you be building a new rig before launch?
Will you upgrade your current system?
Or, will you be using your current system?
Currently I am in the process of pricing out a new machine, not strictly for D3, but it will definitely be used to play it! I haven't quite nailed down all the specs but for now the basics are:
Intel Core i7 2600K (purchased)
NZXT Phantom Full Tower Case (purchased)
Asus Z68 motherboard
8GB RAM dual channel
Geforce GTX 560 Ti video card
That is what I have so far, taking my time with purchasing. Might speed things up whe I get a release date!
In the meantime I have a Core i5 laptop with 4GB RAM and a Geforce GT 430M graphics card.
Working pretty great on everything so far, I was kinda itching for a GPU update (7770), but seeing how the price/preformace on them really blows, I'm pretty happy with mine for now. I was kinda surprised I didn't feel pressured into upgrading for skyrim, everything looks pretty nice on it. Hopefully the same stays true for GuildWars2, and I can use this graphics until it dies. Only one I've done that to so far is ATI 9700pro, after 2.5yr it quit, and was still covered under warranty... I usually upgrade every 2-3yrs. Right now I've had my 9600GSO for 2.5yrs, heh. Humm, I knew about the ATI/Nvidia name similaritys, but putting them both side by side like that, and having purchased both, it's kinda funny. Oh, and if anyone was curious I didn't go direct, it was 9700pro->7600GT->9600GSO. I was so looking forward to a 7000's ATI to make the cycle complete, maybe they'll still release a killer card at a great price in the future.
Intel I5 2500k @ 3.3ghz (needz overclocks!) ...STOCK COOLING D=
GeForce GTX 570 1280mb
CoolerMaster HAF 912 (I think it's sexy...)
G.Skill Ripjaws 2x4gb 1600mhz
ASRock Extreme3 Gen3 mobo (No front usb3.0 ports make me super sad)
Planning to upgrade to better cpu cooling, moar fans, and a better mobo that supports my front usb3.0 panel! Then my computer can mod Skyrim further and play future games even moar epically! (D3, GW2, etc)
