I hope get rid of that aspect of checkpoint system! If I want to grind a boss over and over again, I shouldn't have to start at the beginning of that boss quest each time...
I think they have plans about the dead zone (level 30-60).
I would like to see what they come up with to fill the void. Something tells me it's got to be about the items or character stats. Maybe stat points are coming back and they are trying to figure out how to balance them so you don't break your character.
Been saying for months that hearing that the rune system is finalized would be the biggest sign that release is actually close. lets hope tahts what we hear this week!
@Ardikus
One of the blues said specifically that repeatedly trying to farm the same area will result in lower drop rates of everything (im assuming gold too). Im lazy so im not going to find it for you, youll just have to take my word on this. They may have been referring to Inferno difficulty specifically or maybe all difficulties, their point was that they want you to just run through the whole game, not just farm a certain part. And they likely will add more end-game content after release which should be in 'early' 2013.
The only loot limitation in place is regarding bosses. You'll get better/more items the first time you kill a boss, which is in place to prevent the non-stop boss farming we saw in Diablo 2. You can farm an area all you want and the drop rates won't change. That's really want Blizzard wants us to do, considering the best drops are from the rare mobs.
Considering what you are saying goes directly against what Blizzard is doing with loot, you'll need to find this quote.
