Did u read over the part where I said "except on the gold auction house". There is no real tangible use for gold after lacing artisans which is cheap so the only motivation is to use it on the auction house, but what is that persons motivation to even put it on the gold auction house in the first place? To get gold to buy gear he wants, like I said it's a big circle like I said
You can't say how "cheap" leveling artisans will be for two reasons. One: you have no idea how much gold will be dropping off monsters in Inferno with any given gold find. Two: while the actual gold cost of leveling the artisan may be an attainable amount, you will also have to use both pages/tomes of training and materials from those levels. If you want to purely use gold to level your artisan into Inferno levels without cauldroning anything yourself you will pay a TON more than 110,000 gold.
So there's no use for gold except for the whole point of the game, acquiring better gear to progress into Inferno? I don't get it... what other motivation do you need? Might as well say there's no tangible use for the long Tetris block except filling in a long gap to clear the screen and get more blocks. It's called a game... there's no point in gaming, so under your logic we shouldn't even play. Of course it's a circle.
How about selling gold for dollar bills? Is that enough motivation?
I don't understand this whole "Gold is useful only for leveling artisans". Don't you guys realize it takes huge piles of gold to craft items? The crafting system is the end game gold sink, they have set the drops up so that you don't get enough gold to craft everything with the mats you get, so you actually have to decide if you want to sell stuff or cube it into crafting materials. If it costs 30,000 gold to make a rare 6 random affix item, that's a LOT of times you're going to be rolling that item to get something epic, each of those times costs you the mats and a huge pile of gold. Saying that gold is useless is basically saying you're never going to craft anything in the game ever.

i CAN know how cheap artisans will be considering in the beta you can easily obtain 100k gold in less then two weeks of farming from the very first part of NORMAL so even if gold stayed the same through inferno you'll easily be able to attain hundreds of thousand very quickly and since we know it will increase we know you'll also be easily in the millions of gold by the time your farming inferno. ergo its going to be extremely easy. (not right as you get to inferno but once you start farming it)
my point was its just a circle with the gold auction house, if it didnt exist gold would again become pretty much useless because its easily attainable as your farming for goods and once artisans are maxed you stop caring about it. if you read all of my posts i said that gold is NOW way more useful in D3 than D2 because of the gold auction house and artisans because in D2 it was only to revive your mercenary which was retarded, thank god we dont have to do that in D3.
there has been some speculation on some vids about gold not increasing very much from normal to inferno or hell but it would make zero sense if it didnt. because if it wasnt that big of a change from normal to inferno then everyone would just stack huge loads of gold find and just steamroll through normal and become uber rich insanely fast. so its only logical that gold will drastically increase from difficulty to difficulty

huh? where is it written that it takes 30k gold to craft an item? it only costs 6k to craft rare 6 affix items:
Bumping this to say that this farming method is much less effective in Patch 10, due to gold find getting nerfed and scroll of companion being removed.
or, you farm gold endgame (once the game is released) and buy loads of cheap crap and make it to materials and level blacksmithing like nothing.
my plan, and it will work <.<
BY FAR the best items you can get on a lowbie toon is done so via crafting. The stuff you find on the ground is almost exclusively garbage, especially in comparison to the blues/yellows you craft.
The fastest and most efficient way to level will more than likely be in conjunction with your blacksmith. However, with that said, hanging around in a lowbie area farming jars is a horrible idea. You are simply not going to level killing jars, and farming gold at low levels is rather stupid given the exponentially better drops of higher level mobs. Even once your 60, you will want to go out and farm champions and bosses, not jars. In other words the strat in the OP is worthless outside of beta.

One is never hurt by being given additional choices, only by taking them away. A QUADRILLION MAGIC FIND is worthless if you can't kill shit!
Except you might not make those items just one time. On the bet I made the same items repeatedly....
Thus the video of RG making what 80 something crossbows and all of them being worse than what he had equipped and zero ideal stats... with what 3 random stats? That 500k gold you spent weeks farming just went up in about five minutes while you tried to roll an item with perfect 6/6 of specific stats with perfect maxed amounts. Good luck!
P.S. Those pages are subject to change. None of the legendary information up is correct, it's unlikely any of the rest of that is final for crafted items.
Another thing to note is that it says random stats, but the thing is its not completely random....The game is rigged sort to speak. You get lackluster stats quite more frequently than good ones. Ohh and some items on the beta have restricted stats, or it did when I was on there. In other words, some items will never get the stat you want as its just not in the lottery.

all max lvl craftable items from the artisan with 6 affixes all cost the same amount, 6k gold.
5 affix items cost 5,500g or 4,400g http://us.battle.net...-fine-oni-blade / http://us.battle.net...ne-dread-shield
4 affix items cost 3,000g or 2,400g http://us.battle.net...ed-runic-quiver / http://us.battle.net...alted-armplates
and now you know *ding*
