If they dont release a digital download option with CE and normal options I would be shocked.
In fact, I would be mighty pissed off if they didn't prepair for almost everyone wanting a copy of the CE. They have had 10 years to hype this shit, so they have had 10 years to plan for an adequate amount of CE's.

I think they announced it earlier that a digital version of CE would not be available in their online store. It is a collectors item and it is suppose to be limited, like every other collectible they have released so far.
It makes little business sense to limit the availability of CE if there is demand. If people want it, I would think they would continue to have suppliers create them, especially since the damn game is not even out yet. I am not saying they will keep making CE 6 months after release, but it should be available on release day at the very least.
Hate to break it to those of you that didn't get a CE (I didn't either as I wasn't even aware that it was officially available for pre-order), but you're gonna be out of luck unless you want to purchase one on ebay or luck into a store that has some extra on the shelves (like a Walmart or Best Buy). Once the pre-orders for Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King sold out... they were gone. I remember this very well because the WotLK pre-order sold out in like 3 days or something and my wife was ready to kill me because I missed out on it. There won't be more.
Like I said, there's a small chance you'll find some on store shelves on the day of release (there are still Cataclysm CE's on the shelf at my local Best Buy). Blizz has had companies making the contents of the CE for a long time now and they had them make a specific number of those items that go in the box. They've never printed extra CE's int he past... they aren't going to do it this time.

This man speaks the truth. Which is why I pre-ordered on Amazon the day the CE was announced; I knew this would happen. It's not like they (Amazon) charge you initially for it, basically you're just reserving yourself a copy.
I ordered two lol >< Yep its because they are sold out. I also keep getting apology emails from amazon saying they are trying to get it to me lol
Whew! Glad you posted this! My Amazon account uses an unused email address and they've been sending me that same email for months. I ordered mine in early October but they still are having trouble getting it. If you hadn't said this, I would've still been thinking everything was peachy until it didn't arrive on launch day
As said before, GameStop (US) still appears to have them.
But, for those of you panicing, I guess you didn't buy the SC2 CE either. That version went on and off and rare a few times before release day but, on release day, no one had any problems getting them. in fact, you can still buy them on Amazon and eBay for the same ol' 100$. as when it was released over a year ago.

I seriously doubt that all of the CE have been sent out to suppliers and there will be no more since I have been checking all UK retailers regularly for it and haven't found a single one listed. I find it highly unlikely that Blizzard would ship the CE to US retailers and completely leave out the UK market.
I'm not suggesting that they've been sent to retailers. What I'm saying is Blizzard decides on a number of CE's to make (let's say 250,000 for the hell of it). They have to hire companies to make 250,000 of each item that goes in the CE's (things like the Diablo 3 skull memory stick holder, the hard cover art book, etc.) Those are being manufactured now. I don't know how they decide how many to make, but experience tells me that once they decide... that's it... they don't make more. If they just made more as needed then it wouldn't be very collectible or special. Bad business? I guess you could look at it like that. It sure doesn't make sense that they wouldn't want to sell more of the expensive version if they could. There's a downside to making too many of them too, because it seems like once the first week of release is over... any unsold CE ends up sitting in inventory forever (as I said above... I still see Cataclysm CE's sitting on my Best Buys shelf). So I'm sure they put a lot of thought into how many they make. Plus ordering up another 30,000 is probably way more expensive than the initial "big" order would be per item. One thing is for sure... there will be lots of them on ebay.

The ones on Ebay will probably be hella expensive.
Anyone knows of a website that has it for pre-order and ships worldwide? (israel)
To be honest, you might be SOL on getting a CE. Especially if you're looking for worldwide senders (since there's a lot of people that look for the same places)
I preordered mine at GameStop the weekend they announced the CE
You arent shit out of luck. With SC2 it said sold out for weeks leading up until the launch, then a few weeks before they got a new shipment in, and people were able to pre-order the shit out of SC2 collector's edition. If u are wanting the D3 CE, i'd just sit tight. I'm willing to bet that leading up to the launch they'll become available again. Blizzard games usually do.
Yeah... how it works is, they only let you preorder so many, they pick a lower number to make sure they can indeed cover them. However, closer to release, they will get the numbers they will have/can have, at this point, they can open up more, which is what happens.
Gotcha, I've never been apart of a Blizzard CE release. This is my first. Just took a guess at what might be happening, but it makes since that retailers don't know how many preorders to take, hell the release date isn't even out yet.
I just pre-ordered the CE at Gamestop, i had to go to 2 different stores before i found one though. They said they are only getting a set amount at each location and they wont be available after release....so if you havn't pre-ordered yet id get on it.
Do you guys think Blizz will have more CE available between release date announcement and till date x? Anything from previous CEs that may incline that Blizz don't do it one way or the other? Cause I didn't want to order my CE until I've heard the release date, and of course that was dumb...
There was no way I was getting the CE at all, though for a period I was rethinking that stance.. Until I saw how difficult it was to get. Good luck to those still in pursuit.

+1 anyway, that is exactly what I believe as well.
They list the item shipping between the end of February and March 13, 2012.

Yeah, I see that too. Hopefully when the release date is finalized they'll have an option on release day to pickup in-store.
