Thats my Wizard with a fire damage saber. Does that minor glow effect look anything at all like whats in that video? The first thing I did when I equipped it was let out a big ole wtf and spend the next 20 minutes hunting down that very same video on these forums. The only thing I can think of, as I previously states, is maybe...
Okay, that's odd. Either the weapon effects aren't fully implemented in the beta yet, or the effects scale as the weapon affix improves. Here's a video I found on the different weapon effects and how great they look. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eII0_UAsuJs

Aka the video already posted? =P
as I said, that is the issue.
Not trolling or blind. There is negligible difference in graphics between the two. It would also help if you were comparing the SAME LOCATION to see a difference? comparing the first video of the Cath from 2008 to outdoor areas at night isn't really a comparison.
not really seeing a difference in animations either. It's even the exact same character model from 2008. The graphics haven't changed. You've just seen more areas that are different to the original 2008 reveal video locations.
Yeah, the poster above me mentioned the resource system changes, and there are some UI changes too, but that was to be expected. Everything else has remained pretty much the same. It's the same art style and theme.
wrong again sir. graphics are much improved in character detail and animations, im not looking at the environment mostly just the character. theres a VERY noticeable difference, honestly it makes zero sense why you cant see it. glasses? lol
Give me examples?

yes it is, with improved detail. it looks like the 2008 movie is on absolute lowest graphics settings and the one this year is on the highest, any game turning from highest to lowest is a HUGE difference, so maybe the graphics havent changed and they were just using insanely low graphics? lol

I hate the effects on the weapons, wayyy too exagerated.
Nothing's worse than having an itch you can't scratch. :(. Oh to have been on the graphics team that put this together. I was going to major in art. We did not have computers back then. QQ. But I can at least work on posters of my favorite characters until I can afford to get this game. Then I will draw more pictures in between smashing demons. :D!
What are the specs of your rig? What resolution do you run the game? It looks like you run it really well.
I'll assume you are referring to me with this question since the videos posted were not recorded by the op nor were the weapon effects recorded by their respective posters (as far as I know).
The basic rig specs are:
Processor:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs), ~3.4GHz
Memory:
16384MB RAM
Hard Drive:
180 GB SSD(Primary)
1 TB HDD (Secondary)
Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 x2 SLI
My resolution is only at 1440x900 sadly, I have a very limited desk space for a monitor in terms of height due to a bookcase above my desk so I am limited to my current 20 or 22 inch monitor.
Back on topic, Those videos look pretty much the same. No im not blind. But since that trailer was released the graphics and textures were pretty much close to done so not much has changed. But i did notice off the bat that in the 2008 video moon physics weren't implemented yet lol

Went outside today, the graphics were ok. But the gameplay sucked

How dare you lie to me! i7-2600k has 4 cores, 8 threads! (sneaky intel. Always go AMD, half the price and just as good =) paid 200 for my quad core 3.7ghz)

Eh whatever just copied and pasted from my xfire upload rig info. I don't remember what I paid for each individual piece I just know what the whole thing cost, somewhere around 2000 with no peripherals aside from a 100 dollar headset. I wasn't really concerned about the price at the time. Just wanted to make sure I had a good enough rig to kick the shit outa BF 3 and the new MechWarrior game. Of course with EAs horseshit with origin I didn't buy BF3 and I found out recently that the new MW game is going to be a Free to Play MMO now so I'm quite disappointed there as well.
