I was wondering if you get healed from health globes picked up by another player?
Also if you do get healed, then do you also get the passive effects that involve health globes (i.e. http://www.diablowiki.com/Circle_of_Life).

Edit: I was wrong, they are global it would seem 0.o
[and in pvp it only heals the person that picks it up]
I'm pretty sure in one of Jay Wilson's interviews he mentions that health globes will work for the whole team, regardless of who picks them up.
However I'm not 100% positive of this quote.

I heard jay say this too, but drops are per player bases. I have also seen videos where people get healed who don't pick up globes
Ok thanks for the info guys. I just was wandering because with a lot of the classes have bonuses that involve health globes. I just wanted to know if we had to compete for them or not.
Oh well then, that's kind of dumb. Why would you want someone who's low on health pick up a globe when you have max health... Why are they not on the same table as all other loot, seems very silly

When I played the PvP on the Blizzcon 2010 demo, I'm pretty sure it healed everyone. It was an interesting asset that would create an area of interest for the teams to fight over.
I'm not sure how it's going to be on release though. I don't see health globes working in a TDM environment (cause the guys killing can easily snowball if they have infinite health).

I think its actually more useful that the other way - whoever is picking it up obviously needs it so it would be gone either way - if you catch a bit of a heal as a side benefit all the better.
You could also (theoretically) save a trapped/cornered player by picking up a health globe even though your char doesnt need it - the trapped char would get healed by extension at a time when they might not be able to otherwise heal themselves. You couldnt have this type of mechanic if globes were char specific.
All in all I think this is a win - about the only way it becomes a liability is if you are playing with idiots who run around grabbing every globe right away instead of saving them for time of need in a particularly long fight.
It makes the choice more meaningful than spamming potions, made summons able to tank without trying to buff their health indefinitely. Overall more shiny things on the floor to pick up. I'm good with that
From the witch doctor video I've seen it does heal his dogs (green text pop up), from a video interviewing Jay Wilson he's said it will heal your teammate it PVP as well.

If they do it right, it probably wont be spawning as much as you see in the beta >.<
Oh really? this has to be the first announced game mechanic that I didnt know how it fully worked..wth. Im going to just remove my whole first post as its full of fail, and im ashamed =P

But that doesn't apply to your summons.

regardless though... if they really do heal everyone.. that just seems..crappy, am I the only one that thinks that?
