Anyone else have an issue with exp pools taking up so much time after rifts? Seems every group I am in wants to farm exp pools after every rift which ends up taking a lot of time adding it all up. Does anyone think there are plans to remove these or make them work differently and reduce the want to farm them endlessly?
rift or grift ? if its grift its a given that each grift is to hit the xp pool especially if there are death in the game... most would pre scout these pools in Normal Mode for easier movement pass mobs by the zmonk/barbs, usually in a clan run "cow sticks" are provided. This is the SOP in grift run.
Grifts. I'm not saying I don't get the pools for turn ins but it just seems like such wasted time to scout/look for them and remaking games just to find pools.
so you are telling me to waste more time by making a campaign game and farming pools? I don't think you see the point of time wasted searching for these.
Yea I am. Like you said in the original post. You already waste your time searching for the pools.
The fact that you complain while people give you advice is another sad topic.
If if you call it time wasted that means you must die a lot. Might want to think about improving your skills first before begging for a more efficient manner of farming experience bruh

You are quite comical mate, the fact is that I burn through the pools so fast its irritating finding more. In fact I am quite high on solo, double, trips, and 4 player leader boards. Was just trying to find out if anyone else thought it would be more efficient to spend more time rifting rather than searching for pools, especially when you try to pug and you are the only one searching for them while everyone sits in town. I don't think I was begging just asking a simple question, BRUH!
And thanks to everyone else for the positive feedback and suggestions, as I have been using most of them all season. Cow sticks are by far the easiest to get pools.
You can btw. even search for pools and TP out on the pool, finish the GRift, TP back to town via map and go back into your original TP for an instapool.
I would love for someone to give me a quantitative breakdown of the benefit of xp pool hunting verse straight running rift after rift without the pool.
Sample size of 100 rifts compared to time giving us XP per hour.
I wager that the numbers are very close making looking for pools a moot point.
I get the benefit, but a lot of teams figure it simply is not worth the hassle of searching for them (given the group is not loaded with Bovine's for cow level, then you know 100% you are getting one within 1 min and the results are greater).

If you are playing in a group and everbody knows how to farm xp pools then you will get at least one pool in less than a minute, even without the cow lvl.
so for good organized groups there is a big advantage. if you are playing with randoms the results will vary i guess^^
Okay, so lets say 50 seconds, 100 rifts, thats 5000 seconds, 83 minutes, so 1.4 hours.
If we assume a GR95 takes 7-10 minutes, we can safely say 7 GR's in an hour can be cleared. I would need to look at an xp table and run the comparison numbers, curious to see if it is even remotely worth it.
I feel you bro. Although we are playing in hardcore, thus we don't lose it pointlessly, its becoming a burden to farm for xp especially when you are playing solo. It takes more than 15 minutes to look for 10 pools of reflection to fill up your xp bonus.
I had suggested to make it at least account-wide. Most of us have a different key-hunting character that we don't use in grifting, that perpetually stacking its xp pools because normal rifts just takes a little from it.
I just mentioned it in a passing comment. I didn't make a dedicated thread for it. But no one was interested. Good to know I'm not alone in this misery.

The easiest way is to go into act 5 of campaign and talk to the enchantress. On average you'll get 2 pools to spawn.
Either find someone who completed the campaign. Or do it yourself. It only takes 1 hour if you speed.
Guess it helps you get out of town a little :-)
