The whole game is too unrealistic. This hacking and slashing demons thing is totally unrealistic.
The game should be about getting a job and making a family. Maybe cooking and cleaning could be added in a future expansion.
Hey, that's Fable (1/2/3?), and it's a pretty fun game at that.
But yeah, Diablo is about throwing monsters at the screen. Maybe slight tweaks to the physics will actually improve the feeling of power.
If everything flies the farthest when you punch them in the face, by the time you throw a Comet[!!!] in their heads, they can't fly any farther and it will probably feel really bad.
1. Monsters and destroyable scenery fly like pinballs when struck. Looks very unrealistic and silly! Blizz, can you please tone down the physics a bit? It feels like Titan Quest!
2. Fonts are ugly and unfinished, but I believe this will be fixed
3. Level up and new skill announcements pop up right in the middle of the screen and obscure the action. I hope these can be turned off, just like any type of battle feedback, like damage, crits, gold picked, etc. Completely unnecessary and distracting!
4. Players not taking damage from activated traps (falling walls, etc.) is unrealistic
5. Mouse cursor is ugly and organic. What happened to the gauntlet?
6. Comic-style balloon boxes popping up when characters speak are annoying
7. The aura effect around dropped gold coins is annoying. Dropped gold looks like flying sparkles
8. Characters and NPCs never shut up, I hope there is a way to turn off those prompts (like "not enough mana", the templar exclamations and etc.)
9. Quest exclamation marks above NPCs' heads are a bit annoying and too WoW-like
Some of these have probably been discussed already.. What do you think, do you also find them annoying?
1. Press Esc > Video > Physics Quality > Low (i'm not in beta so I can't test this)
2. Ugly and unfinished? Are the words cutting into half that makes it unreadable? seriously man...
3. I'm not 100% sure about this but when you level up you do some kind of aoe damage around you. It might just be a coincidence on the video below.
4. I'm sure this was a decision that blizz decided melee vs range class. Would be unfair for melee to always be caught and in co-op this could be a problem if hurts you. Then again lots of pk lovers out there would do this on purpose just to annoy someone and since it will only be the closest they can do to hurt other players.
5. I don't know what to say on that. To me it looks helpful but a bit distracting at the same time.
6. Too much complain.
7. Another annoying complain.
8. Even more annoying complain.
9. OMG can someone tell this guy stop complaining!
I know these are your opinion so this is my opinion to your opinion.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I love all loot fest kind of game! I will be playing all of them for the next few years. Loot fest games I'm looking forward to: LotR: War in the North,Torchlight 2,Borderlands 2 and of course Diablo 3.

1. I think it's fine, it's fun to blast a pack of enemies and watch em fly. Then again I liked Titan Quest. I want my attacks to feel like they have some force.
2. Never crossed my mind while playing.
3. The window pop up can get in the way a bit. The other stuff I don't notice while playing.
4. It's a video game. It also presents issues with non-ranged classes.
I think you're underestimating the implications of what your 4. would do.
Since a falling wall will insta-gib (outright kill) monsters, will the same thing happen to your character? Say you're playing a couple of guys in HC, you with your Monk or Barb(melee) and then your DH or Wiz friend comes up from behind and accidentally blasts the wall down - killing you in the process.
If that was the case, playing Hardcore could be very frustrating. I'm not expecting a photo realistic game. If I did, all the bosses would butcher you. Imagine getting smacked by Leorics mace in the face?
See my earlier post. Falling objects/environment should only do dmg comparable to the campfires/flaming crosses in D2 and D1. You stand in the fire, you get hurt..only logical.

1. You say "like Titan Quest" as if it's a bad thing. Titan Quest is probably the best hack and slash Rpg made between Diablo II and now.
2. I have no problems with fonts.
3. Stylistic choice, get over it.
4. Now you're being stupid. This isn't DOOM.

You're digging way too deep, or perhaps I should say shallow, for these complaints. The game is extremely well put together, and that's coming from someone that's played the hell out of the beta and didn't have any of these issues with it.
Chakram in and of itself annoys me. Couldn't they have made it look 20 times less lame? For one maybe not being a mostly hollow glowing yellow star... and to have a slightly straighter -base- pathing. Even for the somewhat cartoon feel of the game it doesn't come close to fitting. I've seen stuff in anime more believable.
I also agree with whoever talked up Titan Quest. That game was short lived and under played but it did relive a lot of epic moments. One of the things I loved most about titan quest is the pinball effect of dying mobs. It makes your character feel more powerful, which if you're slaying groups of crap with glowing, over sized weapons makes a lot of sense.
10. This is probaly the most stupid of your arguments. No Diablo 3 doesn't look cartoonish, why do whiners insist on drawing this argument every time..
If these are the biggest things you could find, then I am excited indeed!!!!
These are all small thing that can be easily fixed if attention is drawn to them and if Blizz finds it necessary. I am not concerned about the big things, they will be fixed by for sure.

Good point. Hope they don't again

5. Once again, hasn't crossed my mind.
6. See above.
7. Yep, don't care.
8. Hasn't bothered me, but I attenuated my audio.
9. Whatever.

11. Slow projectiles (arrows & such). These will likely be fixed.
If you're talking about Hungering Arrow, it's slow for a purpose: because it can change directions mid flight, multiple times.
Impale doesn't even produce an animation for the arrow, it's an instant hit.
Normal attacks and Bola are a pretty fast animation.
The town guard's arrows right in the beginning of the beta seemed pretty slow on the videos

Yes I have, and I stick to what I said above.
Probably because it is true?
