The thing that encourages me the most to be honest is that there is still no blue post yet. Whatever is going on is -still- going on. Remember this time they aren't e-mailing everyone keys like sc2, they are activating it on your account. They are likely getting the accounts activated first before they start sending out the emails. I think we can expect a blue post sometime soon saying they've finished adding press acounts, and started adding regular accounts/sending emails and it could take a few hours for all the accounts to be added and emails to be sent.
(I just got a new e-mail and it was just some stupid school thing, I almost had a heart attack..)
Quit feeding the troll guys, you're just making him fat and happy...
Stop it. Im no troll. I just dont like when people are trying to imprint dates and being all optimistic about it. I have waited as long as you guys have.
Who's imprinting a date? They've said they aim for the end of 2011. If they have to release it later, that IS NOT them pushing it back.
If they had said "It will be released December 20th 2011" and THEN they had to push it back, then you would have a point.
As far as a release date this year....if the beta was later in the year or there were some large bugs, perhaps a 2012 release date would be realistic. As it stands now, the number of bugs the beta testing has found so far aren't huge and really aren't that numerous. There's no reason to believe they'll push it outside of this year. At the same time, missing Christmas isn't a big deal anymore. There are plenty of examples of games being released in the middle of the year and selling in huge numbers. Some games are too popular to fail...Call of Duty, Madden, etc etc. IF Diablo's release date gets pushed back into 2012, Blizzard won't lose any money by missing Christmas.

They HAVE set a date...2011. If they have to release it in 2012 that is exactly what "pushing it back" means. If it gets pushed back to 2012 they'll release a pr story like they did with WoW:BC, stating the game has been pushed back.
Does that mean when blizzard said they have internally tested the full game that its a lie? Hmm I guess in THAT case it could be next year. Very interesting evidence.
They said they CAN test it interally for bugs and gameplay issues. If you say they blueposted that, I suggest you link to evidence.
no, they said they have. You're not going to get anyone to think your crazy date is even close to right.
Well find out in oct with blizzcon.
I dont say my date is right, nor wrong. I say its as good as any one elses guess.
They did, you seem to be one of the only ones that does not understand that this is what was said at one of the press events to sixen.
Nope. Do you really think Bash would risk his job by telling someone outside of Blizzard confidential information? Information that wasn't even correct? But please, continue believing what you want.
Please do, because you still haven't produced a newspost or similar to where they actually mention a set-in-stone release date.
Quoted from the third link: "Our goal at Blizzard is to make the best games possible," Blizzard said in the announcement. "This means that we will not release a game until it's ready. While we could release an inferior product to meet a specific date, we instead choose to polish our games until they meet the superior quality that we know Blizzard gamers and our development teams expect. We firmly believe that this additional development time will prove invaluable, ensuring that Warcraft III will expand upon the legendary gameplay experience previously found in the critically acclaimed Warcraft series."
I don't think this is actual closed beta. Way more people would be swinging their dicks in forums if that were the case. Other than the confirmed press peeps, we haven't heard diddly squat. Sigh. The waiting continues...
They say alot of things, but they have never ever held a specific date and you know it.
They dont need an exact date, they said 2011, thats not an exact date. If a game like this that is almost ready misses a Christmas release, they lose a massive amount of money. They will be releasing before then as long as nothing goes bad in beta, its really that simple.
Which they missed countless of times before. I believe it when I see it. You are way to optimistic good sir.
They've missed what? I've never heard of any Blizz title being delayed ever. They never tell us a release date until about 2 months before the date itself, when they can guarantee it's all done and finished.
Honestly, your pessimism isn't gonna win in this situation.
At least try and name me a single game that got officially delayed.
The Starcraft 2 article isn't pertinent since that was before SC2 was even know so how could there be a release date, and the WC3 article doesn't say they had a release date for that year.

He even said in the blue post joking about what he told him... I dont understand why you are one of the most closed minded people, why would sixen with all his connections lie?
Blues need to stop being lazy and end the speculation one way or another. There's going to be a whole load of butt hurt going on if the beta isn't coming soon....
No joke... Like I said at the start, they put warnings in all their games about fake emails, now more than ever a blue post is needed if they are worried about all that.
They even said they'd announce it when the beta does finally start, and we definitely know a ton of press just got it. Come on blue post ! Who else is procrastinating just refreshing this thread / their account.

I hope they do the same thing that they did with SC2 preorders from Gamestop...

Not an exact blue post but should suffice.
We all know how pointless it is, and if people wanna discuss it further, there's even a specific thread for it.
Something that does not have a date cant be pushed back.
Q1 is still before summer
EDIT: sorry zero just saw your post, I'm done, either way more Diablo drug is now on the market for us junkies!!

If you wanna troll, learn to do it right.
