how do you take a screenshot of youtube? or whatever. I also have where it shows a yellow tooth for crafting rares, but can't figure out how to screenshot.
Im pretty sure I heard this before. They have solid stats like always, however this time, they also have affixs..ect for them, to add a little more to them. I'll have to take a look at the stream as this is something I want to see,
that is only one. He has 3 in his stash that each have different stats.
the lightning 1 has 9.1dps, 2-5dmg, 1.4 attacks per second, 2-4 lightning damage, and +3 vitality and it has a 29 durability and is cheaper to sell. Both fire based ones are the same.
Note the completely different stat. Also the note the lack of the fiery background, but that is perhaps only applied when the item is equipped.
If it's also true that there's a Gris Edge with ice instead of fire, uniques might fall into this description:
Uniques have one or more static "archetype" stats, and one or more dynamic stats. For instance, Gris Edge will always have some elemental (ice/fire, perhaps more) buff of 2-4. This is the static stat. Then, there's a slot where any applicable stat can be inserted. This is the dynamic stat.
But that seems pretty complicated, and could change depending on how top-tier the item is. Perhaps it's a bug?
EDIT: So now there's a Lightning one too!

The final test of the Serpent's Form takes place in "The Pit of 12 Vipers." The initiates are not told about the 13th.
Someone should ask this on the actual Blizzard forums. This would be some of the biggest news we have received in a while, IMO. Legendary items not having static (or even close to static) stats would make them very strange. They would basically just be rare items with set names and unique looks.
That kind of takes away from the Legendary feel of them, IMO. But I guess it could work.

Well, my guess is that some stats are static (such as Griswold's Edge always having an elemental bonus), and others are random.
But I do agree this should be placed on the official bnet2.0 forums (I can't post there) because it could be a bug; if it isn't, we might get some clarification on Legendaries from a blue post.
edit: I'd put it in beta feedback, saying something like "not sure if it's a bug... [etc. etc.]... but could we get some clarification on Legendaries and their stats?"

I love this idea, means even if you find the rarest weapon in the game, there could be someone else with a wayyy better version of it =D Just means mo' farmin. I'm all for it.
Because they are not random.. they were still made with a set limit, while rares where not. Remember, More than one of it != random. The affixs on them I think are also custom made... its not as random as a rare.. lets put it at that. If you see one drop, youll be able to know what you "can get"

yeah looking at them, they have all kinds of different stats, including different damage.

Here's an SS form incgamers:

I liked the idea of Legendary items having set stats that could be random, but not totally random stats. As in like:
Griswold's Edge:
2 min to 4 max (random elemental damage) damage
10% damage for (random class)
I guess I don't really get the point of Legendary items if they are basically going to be rares that just have 'cooler names'?
Uh, yea dude, welcome to diablo and random items.
The thing is, they aren't like rares. If my idea holds true, there are some fixed attribute archetypes. Rares have no fixed modifiers. None.
Also this is a clvl 2 legendary. If we could compare a clvl 43 legendary we could get a much better idea.
