As you start to download that sweet nectar called Diablo 3 you think to yourself what first the amazing force of the barbarian or the deathly magic of the wizard. I want to hear all of your thought on what will be your first class that you start in either full or beta versions of D3.
I personally am looking into the Barbarian. Looks like a good built class and love this style. Then possibly the monk or wizard. Cant wait for this to hit beta then Finally stores.
At first it was the wizard, monk and DH to choose from for me; the barb seemed to cut and dry and I've never been a fan of summoner classes. Then after seeing that the wizard is going to be the second most played (according to a poll) I crossed that off my list =) Now it's monk or DH, both seem very awesome and support my exact play style of being deadly but having a lot of cool options and abilities (Mains a drood in wow lol). Well my good buddy really wants to try the monk, and since the DH on that same poll seems to be the least popular, I'll have to ride her to the top =D
(my favorite repost topic ever)
I'll probably start with the barb, then witchdoctor, then sorc, monk, and demon hunter.
Barb, just because i'll be playing D3 for the loot and dungeon crawling, and if i'm gonna be dungeon crawling, i want a sword and shield and some badass armor as a starting point. For no reason other than that it feels very "classic" to me and sounds like a lot of fun.
Witchdoctor just looks badass. A very, very close second (i may even end up picking him first). But yeah, then all the others. But Barbarian and WD i'm looking forward to the most. I actually liked barb a lot in D2 but couldn't really get into him because of the iron maiden in chaos sanc. I know they've fixed it now, but since d3 is so close i'm just gonna wait and do a d3 barb.
Very cool but your right about the barbarian i liked him in D2 but couldnt get him perfect played a druid in D2 and loved that but i love the look of the new barb in D3 very nice then im thinking a wizard i like a lot of the spells that have been leaked and they look very powerful and a top noch character third i would either say monk or or DH i like them both and like the monks play style. The DH looks nice as well very cool skills along with good graphix on the spells. in last i would have to say WD he looks awesome dont get me wrong but i like more melee than anything and WD just seems to slow or a class but i will of course try him out to hopefully prove myself wrong
(and yes definitely favorite post i want to know peoples opinions since i just started account not to long ago to join in on the fun of late night foruming.)
In Beta I will be running the Wizard first. Then all of the others .. Witchdoctor last.
At release, depends on the feel in the Beta, but most likely the Wizard
I'll probably try each of the classes in the Beta, starting with the Wizard and then choose which one I'll start with from my experience there. Right now the Wizard and Demon Hunter look the best to me.

I'm playing Wizard first. I prefer spell based classes because they typically have abilities that are more fun to me and I like all the spell effects. Wizard also seems to have a nice variety of spells that covers pretty much any playstyle.
Demon Hunter, hands down.
Ive always liked the concept of ranged attacks, traps and fast movement.
Then it would have to be the monk, something different then the classes in diablo 2.
In the end, all classes will have a go, they all seem awesome
Gonna roll a Demon Hunter first. I liked playing a hunter in WoW, so DH was the obvious choice for me. Although, the DH looks a lot more fun than WoW's hunter.
Barbarian (probably of the dual wielding, high crit chance type), then Monk, WD, then DH/Wiz. I don't know if I'm doing Wiz or DH first, that will probably be decided on the spot.
I personally couldn't care less which builds and characters become "strong" or "popular". I'm going to come up with the most effective build and use my favorite characters most because they're enjoyable, not to try and be "special" on a video game xD That's just like saying you wouldn't use something because it works, well, sort of.
Anyhoo, I'm trying to decide between wizard, barbarian and demon hunter. I admit sorc and barb were my favorite classes in diablo 2. Sorc of course had teleport the entire time. I think the demon hunter will have a sliiiightly higher skill cap (which means it is more fun if you're seeking a challenge), and in all honesty I think the witch doctor looks cool too. Well, I'll narrow it down to wizard or barb.
Wizard Pros:
-Kamehameha!!!
-Frost/fire are epic I love the skill animations I've seen so far for wizard the most of any class. I can't imagine what other spells will look like, especially with certain runes.
-Wizard is the first class I actually came up with a complete pvp theorycraft build for
-Mobile with teleport, easy aoe or high single target damage
-Like the resource system the most of any, *currently*
-Like the way the skills work. You have fast moving good damage skills for multiple purposes, skills at close and far range, slower moving attacks that will probably clobber groups of mobs even more efficiently.
Cons:
-Squisher?
Barb pros:
-THUNDERCATS, HOOOOOOOOOOO!
-hack and slash, I get a particularly pleasant thrill as melee when they are more realistically slicing and dicing things into ribbons
-High endurance.
-Decent mobility
-Ridiculously powerful long cooldowns
-High action class, always in the middle of everything
Cons:
-Always in the middle of everything

Every class looks awesome though, can't wait!
