I've been playing DOTA since it first came out and still do. People who have played DOTA and are hating on it are usually the people who died twice and left the game within 10 minutes.
I think it would be pretty interesting to see a dota-style Diablo 3 pvp arena.
And yes Dota is huge, the moba market is huge.. It already has a fanbase in the millions and it will grow a lot more once Dota 2 comes out. Steam alone will market Dota a lot, and that's just a small piece of their marketing opportunities.
DoTA - Played a ton of it in war3, was fun back then, but now if you join a game in LoL or HoN, there are a lot of higher ranked players that just go in there and newb stomp people. Got annoying quickly. Also, I couldn't remember which items were the best and it took a while to look through them. I do find it hard to believe people haven't heard of DoTA considering...
