yeah. "by September" tells us nothing new. We already knew they were planning for Q3 which is by sept 30.

Based on Blizzard's prior record of letting me down, I will believe it when I see it.

Lol I'll tell you what after 3 years of waiting(knowing about D3) you would think I'd be numb to the hype but F*&^ I am more excited than ever. I don't know whether to believe the beta will come out before September. High hopes I guess. I do think the beta will be out in Q3 and diablo will be released in Q4.

Realistically this year is still very viable for the release as Blizzard keeps saying because realistically they just need to stress test their hardware / software make sure it can run all of us, they have the other acts and endgame figured out on their end with the smartest minds in the business.

Hopefully they are telling their development team to have one good last weekend off because next week we will be starting 7 day work weeks

The added "hopefully sooner" really is the kicker here. Could be a Beta by this time next week!

I dunno, i think that's definitely debatable. "by september" to me, means before september.

I think if he meant sept first, he would have just said by the end of the month.

Not really, this means that he hopes it will hit in august but might not be until September (there are 30 days in september).

Before September means before September. By September means no later than September.

Why are you talking about the "by September" definition and not the "hopefully before"?

The "hopefully before" part gives me a little hope, but, I still think we won't see it until September 25th-30th.
