Can't believe they could ruin the game like this. This shit is beyond acceptable. Look at my sig.
And you sir, are effectively a naive child
(Offline mode doesn't change a thing when it comes to the genre 98% of people would of played through battle net anyway)
(And Real-Money trading [like it has been said 1 million times] has been around since the start of Diablo 2)
The trolls are becoming more naive by the minute
Edit: Oh and to comment on your Sig, I'll gladly vs you with my low-level farmed set vs your high-end set you bought and show you that it takes more then putting real money in to win, oh the flawless victory that awaits me is so so sweet
yea no offline is being too cautious considering the fanbase for blizz. but what can you do when activision lingers
Yeah, I know right?? that damn activision, forcing me to connect to the internet to play, oh wait, i have internet connected 24/7, oh wait activision doesn't interfer with blizzard when it comes to the making of the game... oops
oops, I better thank blizzard for making me connect to battle net and letting me experience the game with all those cool BNet features, I sure would of been silly to play without these features, Hurr durr.

Ever since 2008 announcement I've been against ppl developing wow to work on D3 and wanted the "old" D2 team to work on D3, but that didnt happen. Now we have auto stats and 6 maxed skills that you can switch whenever you want with a AH that you can buy whatever you want with money.
The official Blizz answer is that it gives you more "freedom" of choice and bla bla bla...The real answer is that " it was easier for us to implement the same system for all players and not program a new D3 system for skill trees and stats since we piked our noses for 3 years and now we are hurrying to release a product and take your money."
Probably the most misinformed post iv'e read today, WoW development team has nothing to do with Diablo 3 development, according to Jay Wilson the current Diablo 3 team is made up of around 60% Blizz North members ( Diablo 1 and 2 development team)

i dont think you've considered the reasons behind the AH, how free the 6 skills with compatibilities, or the influence of first rage without solution on the community
Do you guys remember the original D3 pics someone uploaded looked like before they were scrapped? Be thankful we didn't end up with something like that.

my inner grammar nazi tells me your spelling of "then" is usually a point in time and that you should have used "than" in your pretty little bar o disgust.

I like how so many people are complaining about 4 players not being enough per game. Yet, you think the ability to have up to four people playing on-line makes the game a massive multi-player on-line game.
Forcing players on-line ends thousands of possibilities of people cheating. How is that bad?
As for the RM AH, don't use it.
You should really learn what an MMO is before you start making loose associations to try to prove your opinion.

Of course it is not Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game due to the low number of players at once per game. But the philosophy is there, it is fundamentaly MMO on a small scale, due to constant internet connection and RMT.
The fact that you can buy any iten, not just cosmetics, but the one who makes you stronger and give you an advantage on the battlefield reminds of cheap f2p pay-to-win korean mmo's.
and playing a game on-line and an MMO are tow different ideologies. You have agreed that the main part of MMO, the MM, is not present in Diablo. So, Diablo is an O game.

All I hear coming from your mouth is W H I N E. Endless and endless amounts of W H I N E.
1. Lots of newer games only have online experiences, to discourage anti-social behavoir and promote community stuff, starcraft 2 did this aswell to a pretty good success.
2. Farming and bots will not be present, looting will be entirely random and much harder to acquire than D2. You dont have to use the real money AH, gold AH is just there too. The economy will balance itself around whatever it wants.
D2 had real money xfers too, what is different?
3. Play hardcore mode, there is no realmoney AH..
4. Stop qq'ing.
You do know that "anti-social behavior" isn't accurate right? What you just said is Blizzard is trying to promote people from being psychopaths? What you probably meant to say is Blizzard is trying to promote those with disorders such as social anxiety disorder to be more outgoing and involved with others, but that's not so easily done as it's actually a phobia, and phobia's are not fun to deal with.
