With having Archon being better with Tal Rasha and Firebird rather than the set the was made for Archon, here is what i think should be changed to help this set better suit the skill:
Bring the 4 piece set back to 1.5% IAS, armor and resistances. Just make it tankier overall.
Add a new set bonus to the six piece bonus that essentually doubles the damage per stack from 6% to 12% while keeping the existing bonus as is.
That way, the set will have more than enough damage to go toe to toe with the other powerful sets.
Place your thoughts about how would you change the set.
Haven't really played Wizard much this season and ran mostly as Tals last season, but is Vyr's really that bad off? I assume the 4 pc is meant for that bonus per stack of Archon, correct? If so, 12% damage per stack in addition to 1.5% IAS per stack? That is kind of sad that the set is that terrible to need such a huge buff to make it reasonable. I always enjoyed Archon back in Vanilla when I was first leveling my first Wizard. Haven't really played it much as Archon was kind of garbage last season still, before the 2.4.1 buffs. I might need to try out an Archon wizard this season and see how it is.
Currently, the set gives you more attack speed and toughness with the amount of stacks that you have and each individual stack has 6% multiplicative damage.
So for the short period you have overlapping stack that for arguments sake gets to 200. That 1200% increased damage.
Firebird gives you 2000% for igniting an elite and tal rasha gives you 3000% for up to 8 seconds (which is almost half of the duration of archon) and thats before you add the archon stacks.
So yeah. Vyr is not in a good place at the moment but if you give my idea a chance, you double the damage you have from 1200% to 2400% and that will help Vyr get to about the same level as firebird and tal rasha.
For a set that revolves around the wizards Ultimate skill, its lackluster compared to the other sets that can overpower it quite easily..
Honestly, I think the larger issue here is that firebird and Tal are too powerful. If Vyr gets pushed up to the same level as these other sets, there is no way for a different class to take up the DPS role, unless all sets and items see significant buffs, which just works out as unnecessary power creep. As I see it, the better option would be to find a good place (in terms of power) for Vyr's and then scale the other sets down to it's level; this way you are choosing a build based upon its play-style, rather than its dmg multipliers. Honestly, the same is true for all sets and skills in the game. I personally think that all dmg values should be much closer together within and across classes; you simply can't have balance without comparable dmg values. Obviously, fixing the main issue (as I see it) is a considerably larger task and one which is never likely to be corrected properly, so that's basically a pipe dream. Changing sets though, that's easy.
If you bring up Vyr in term of power to the other sets, you get diversity in terms of playstyle. People will always find the most efficiant way to play but for those who want to push and not have to play a set or a playstyle they dont want, it gives them another option.

Constructive critisism is always welcomed.

Well, look at this in this way -
