I don't want to sound like a lamo or anything because I for one am VERY excited for D3 after a decade of playing! I am just not happy with the graphics of the worlds and elements in them from the towns, beasts, etc...is it just me is it very "broad", grainy and unrefinded? I mean Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 just has the "tight", toned, detailed view of literally EVERYTHING in the game....you can see blades of grass and cracks in the old wood of the houses and old churches in Diablo 1......in Diablo 2 you can notice the gleam of fire and lave in the stained glass in the River of Flame....Diablo 3 just seems so choppy and loose looking? Does anyone else feel this way? I mean look at my avatar over here to the left.....its tight, slim, detailed, you can see the shadow hover in the crossed loop of his staff are he raises it above the fire....thats f-ing detail.....will Diablo 3 have these elements? thanks
In my opinion graphics is just as important as the actual game play.
There have been few improvements in 3D which is not much but they added more depth to the shadow effect.
We'll have to see how realistic the game gets, but as of now, its very cartoonish. Just like TF2.
You know there are 100's of other threads about this very subject. Personally I like the art direction but its a matter of taste. I have no idea what you mean by choppy and loose looking.
Yeah this has been discussed to death, but personally I think it looks awesome. The environments look like paintings, and the color pallet is exquisite.
