First, no the beta has not started yet. When it does, you will see something on the Front Page.
Anyway, in preparing for the beta, we here at DiabloFans would like to know what you, the fans, would like to be covered. There will definitely be tons of all that fun technical data and stats uploaded into the wiki as quickly as the team can get it up. We will also be joining with force to get out video coverage as well. However, this leaves the news team to share information with you guys. We want to know what kind of info you would like to see once the beta starts. I am aware that most people here want as much info as possible but there will be so much info that some things may not get covered. This is not to say you won't be able to find the info in our videos and wiki but the news posts can't contain everything. So, what is the most important information that you think should be included. Also, if you would like spoiler headings added to certain topics, please let us know.
Please vote and voice your thoughts on the situation.

oops. Fixed. Vote away and please leave any comments as to why or if disclaimers would suffice.
Ty.
I am one who is afraid of big spoilers but a disclaimer is probably the best as it gives a clear warning but allows those who are interested in seeing it before release to do so.
I dont want to see ANY LORE!!!! in beta. IF I do I will probably shoot someone in the face and that would be bad.

If you want to arrange it
This world you can change it
If we could somehow make this
Christmas thing last
By helping a neighbor
Or even a stranger
And to know who needs help
You need only just ask
If the title is clear enough then you wouldn't even have to look at the thread. The problem would be the front page. You should probably avoid spoilery screenshots for that purpose. Or others could just do what I do: bookmark directly to the forums.
Edit:
Yeah, spoiler alert in general would be a good idea. You should probably make separate Lore threads, so the discussion in the news threads is divided as well.
everything related to game mechanics, nothing related to storyline.
UNLESS: it is about the artisans (not their lore though)

A Post Concerning The Real-Money Auction House:
"Except real money trading has always been present in Diablo 2. Except now it's going to be officially supported which will reduce scams, prevent the funding of the black market so your kids will no longer be exposed to dangerous life ruining drugs like the cancer causing marijuana."
What I want to see:
Traits - We have seen very little on what they can actually do. Would be nice to see the full set.
Skills - Similar to traits. We know a little bit more about skills than traits, but I'd still like to see the full set.
Items - This seems to be one of the least covered topics by Blizzard. In the videos they don't really show any of the items. Maybe Blizzcon people have an idea, but so far I don't see any info online about items, item stats. Like just go through a dungeon and log everything that drops, so we can get an idea of drop chances.
What I don't want to see:
Quests - I want to see the story for myself.
Areas - Same as quests really, it kind of spoils the first time you see it.
Lore - This might be okay, but only if it doesn't reveal story.
Spoiler tags work but try not to put them in the middle of an article where we will have to skip past it somehow without seeing anything. Use separate pages, spoilers only at the end of the page, or even spoiler tags (if this forum has that, basically a show/hide button around text).
I'd like to know:
Skills - I'd love to know what all the skills do with their rune effects.
Traits - a full list of the final traits would be great.
Personal Play Experience - always a good read, also something to relate and compare to if I manage to get in the beta.
I would not like to know:
Items - I don't want to know any specifics about the items, saying you got this badass sword that did *this* is alright, but I want to experience finding all these items for myself. I'm interested in which D1/D2 uniques will be in D3, although personally, I'd much rather play the game myself to find that out.
Quests, Areas, Lore - Anything that might spoil the storyline is a no-no.
Monsters - Again, I want to experience a "WTF IS THAT?!" moment. xD

"There's no doughnuts in Diablo. Oohhhh, I just threw it down. BlizzCon exclusive: no doughnuts. -Jay Wilson
Quests are something I'd like to discover myself, although I'm sure it would be hard to work around that.. Also I don't care for the lore, at all.. I get the gist and that's all I need to have fun playing lol.
One thing that I would LOVE to get a solid answer on is system specs needed to run the game maxed on a ultra high resolution monitor, 1920x1080 at minimu. I've yet to build the PC I will be running the game on, and would like to not over or undershoot the specs needed for the game to run on a solid FPS, on max settings.

Lore & Quests are no no for me.
I want to see how the game feels and explore its mechanics with the beta. But the story told in there i want to see with the final product on release.
A complete documentary of all the runes and their effects on all the skills would make me really happy. I think most people are in agreement that no lore or questing should be mentioned on these forums, but if you have to, use spoiler tags.
I don't think that we will not cover all of the areas. After all, there are some people who want all of the info. Spoiler tags will be used for certain things though so those of you who don't want it can skip over it easily.

Well, the problem would then become people discussing lore in the comments. If lore and skills are both in the original post then the comments will have lore and skills discussion. That would mean everybody with lore discussion would have to use spoiler tags.
Also, are you talking about [ spoiler ] tags or merely red text preceding the paragraph. I'd prefer the actual tags myself.
It would be cool if the moderators could edit thread titles that had spoilers in them.
Well for starters there probably won't be any major spoilers like an act boss or anything close to that. They've been extremely tight lipped about lore and I don't think that would change for the beta.
Spoiler tags would just make the article awkward to read and would probably make it so that people who want to read the section would miss it. Things that include lore will be labeled and include a disclaimer, but I don't know what to say about the comments, but using spoiler tags in those wouldn't be as bad. And again, even if you read a spoiler by accident or because of someone else's carelessness, it'll probably be a very minor one.

If I can only pick one, then quests would be preferable.
