Are there any average-taste-type women or insightful men able to tell me why blizz sees the demon hunter's male type as the attractive class among the rest of the male classes? I don't have a lot to go by on the picture but the face looks rugged, red, and swollen in some fashion (yuck). And the body seems very average.
Well, me being me, I tend to think that the male Wizard is more... handsome? I don't know, there's a certain quality to him that makes him seem more "attractive" than the other males in the game.
And a common archetype is the handsome, brave, valiant warrior. What is the Demon Hunter? It is very, very hard to stray away from common archetypes because there's usually stealthy types, magic users, and warriors, and everything else tends to falls under those common archetypes.
Would anyone play him if he was ugly? Completely rhetorical, of course, and don't give me any holier than thou sort of justification; do you think that the casual game player would ever play an ugly character in any game?

And the monk is actually one of the better looking classes IMO.
Edit: It hardly even matters what they look like since you're probably going to be wearing some sort of headgear about 99.9% of the time. The only time you'll see their face is when you're in the inventory.
With that in mind, does this even matter?

Many headgear may show the face like circlets. Also, many types of helms leave the face open, like D2's crown helm.
And yeah, this is irrelevant (for me). But lot of girls like to play with cute man characters the same way boys like to play with good looking female characters.

Well as far as the face of the character, no I don't really care in Diablo (or any game that includes full face helmets for that matter) as you never really see it. But I do care quite a bit about the overall look of a character. It would kinda suck to play a class when I don't really like what they look in most armor.
The male DH. Yes i can appreciate male beauty xD
But still... the DH has this small beard thing going on.

But the monk and the wd...
Doesn't the WD have a mask on?

I like to go with twisted and freaky, it can be as polished as Michael Jackson I don't care, as long it's going somewhere with a strong theme.

I don't like playing with female characters.
I'm going to start as male wizard and male demon hunter, somehow their gear looks sharper too, Dunno if that's an illusion.
I don't care at all for the WD. Sorry, guys.

Lol.
No. I could give half a shit about my character's facial features. All that I really care about is playability and loot.
This is Diablo III, not The Sims or any of those games where attractiveness is part of the game.
