The thread of people asking off work at release got me thinking. How much time do you all plan on investing in the game? Obviously I can't play diablo 3, 6 hours everyday like I did with diablo 2 while I was in middle school.
Ya I will do about the same akuma, games are more if they are treated more as a reward than a job. With that said I'm sure I will for sure have some binges though.
who the fuck gives a damn about homework. :teehee:
This year, I do. I'm actually gonna try cause I wanna get my GPA up a lil' bit. Then, maybe, I can actually understand the math I'm learning this year. I got the desk and everything.
But yeah, I can probably only play it on those rare days when I don't have HW. That is, if I even have homework when it comes out. I hopefully won't be in school...

Yeah, but it's something I'd like to understand. My Advanced Algebra teacher was such a bad teacher, he made it almost impossible to understand anything, really brought my school morale down when I was getting D's and he was getting away with being a bad teacher. I stayed after many times and he sill couldn't even explain what I was supposed to do. I just want to prove to myself that I can do well in math because it's either my teachers or me that's not getting it and I'd like it to be my teacher's negligence.
But yeah, D3 is gonna keep me up at night when it comes out.

You can't solve math problems without fully understanding the concept, because you need to understand the basics, the rules, and everything to be able to solve any problem thrown at you. If you memorize the solution of equation A, I'm certain you wouldn't know how to solve equation B, because you don't know what the fuck you're doing, just that you did this and that to solve equation A. Memorizing the rules and formulas included in integrals isn't enough. You have to understand them in order to be able to actually implement them after you've manipulated the equation in order for it to be an equation to which you can actually apply said rules and formulas, since some integrals equations just don't fall under any rule/formula until you've either broken it down into another form, or manipulated it in some fashion to make it look like an integral to which you can apply the formula to. That's why you can't just "memorize math". The very notion of that is laughable at best.
I don't agree, show me a time you have to use more than basic concepts of math in a job or even in a major and I will be impressed. Sure in some classes you need to know basic integrals and derivative rules and have a decent concept of algebra, but how often do you get an equation that you actually have to use u-substitution? On the job you never will!
Uhh, my cousin is an electrical engineer. Solving differential equation is a key component of his job. What are you even on about? People who work on atomic bombs? I doubt they use simple division and multiplication. There are so many examples. You don't have a case here.
I'll take that as your "damn, you completely annihilated my baseless argument. I give up, but I'll insult you in some attempt to mask the fact that I have absolutely no reply to your completely airtight argument" statement.
guys guys.... can't you wait roughly a year when D3 comes out and settle it via PvP?
on topic - depending on school and work, i voted 13-20 hrs a week. however if a girl is to step into the picture, those numbers will likely decrease. friggin women...I think it's a good idea to stay single when D3 comes out, to maximize play time

When will YOU come out? Of the closet, that is.
