Diablo III has kept key components to the Diablo franchise but they are also adding some new mechanics. What is your favorite new additions to Diablo and Why?

The new loot system, now i don't have to worry about those with auto grab items programs and just enjoy the final blow to the boss instead of worrying about clicking like a psychopath everywhere and nowhere.
But I really like the skill runes. So many cool things that can be done with those things. The Health Globes make the game a bit more tense instead of the one hit KO's D2 gave you. Individual drops are good as well.
I also clicked 'other' since I also like the Havoc Engine. Having a physics engine in a game is a must these days, but it's still a cool improvement over D2.
Skill runes and individual drops. As exciting as it is to nab a Unique Monarch from Diablo when surrounded by 7 other players, it's more heartbreaking to watch a Paladin steal a unique Spirit Mask from me ;_;
I can't wait to see how the Wizard's resource pool turns out.
I picked health globes, the effect they have on a game's pacing is amazing, especially if you have high attack and low defense. It was annoying to always go back to town for potions when monsters wouldn't drop any.

It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
For me the Skill runes help i mean spamming hurricane in D2 from my ele druid was so boring at times no new animations no new cool things to add. Taking these skills and switching them up a bit can add up to be alot for people. A nice Other would be the HAvoc physics engine as others have stated. One thing I'm actually turned off by is the unique energy pools I can't really say how its going to work when i kill a fallen and a Barb accidentally picks up my mana globe... Thats going to suck alot and oyu know there will be douches who will do it, if thats possible not sure but one way i see it as a downfall. The co op res system seems weird to me, everyone suddenly gained the ability to ressurect? just seems kinda off. Checkpoints can be good i hope that say i get the checkpoint in front of diablo and i have to go, i can close the game and start it up right at my last checkpoint and not have to return on that long journey.

I voted for the individual loot drops. Though, I will probably miss running up to a boss right before it dies and clicking like mad. For nostalgia's sake. Not because I like fighting for loot.

Skill runes - as previously mentioned, the dimension that they add to the game is ridiculous (in a good way). I can't wait to see what mods we can make to our skills and see all of the different combination. It will be awesome to have to people with the same skill but two totally different functions.
Skill hotbar - probably the simplest but best change. No longer to I have to use f(x) or scroll up and down.
Unique energy sources - great for replayability. If anyone is questioning this, check out warhammer online. every class has a unique system and it made every class feel completely different.

I like most everything I have seen up to this point, I think the game is going to be what we have hoped for. I chose skill runes. As mentioned, the character customization allowed with this new addition seems almost overwhelming. One of the things I like most about D2 is the freedom to really expirement with new ideas/unique builds. Im really curious about the crafting system though.. I thought I read that they had some sort of new system they were not talking about, can't wait to see what the D3 team has up its sleeve.

I voted for Health Globes simply because i remember myself thinking of an idea similar to the health globes even before D3's announcement. I think this mechanic perfectly suites a Diablo game.
I really like the skill runes and the resources systems too.
What i'm really liking about D3 is the monster design. Every monster have some unic and really different skills. Looks like fightning new monsters will be really new experience. I CAN"T wait to see boss fights.
Unique death animations are a small thing that make a huge difference on how entertaining a game is. This is why games like Crash and Tomb Raider are so fun.
Individual loot is the obvious big game-changer to me, and I think in retrospect, eventually, autostats is going to win just about everyone over in a big way.
