Do not know what type of OS is on it. If it is using the iphone/itouch OS then I do not see it being ported over. If it is using the OSX then it is likely going to be able to play if you can use a mouse on it.

On Strike and supporting Fallout 4 Mod Makers
Some fallout 4 mod makers have had their mods stolen and uploaded and downloaded on Bethesda's site for the Xbox One.
Its an ipod with a bigger 10 inch screen and if you pay more you can get 3g btu it only holds up to max 64 GB. So no Diablo will not be able to play on the ipad sorry.

Not even Death will save you from Diablo Bunny's Cuteness!
The tablet seems to me to be not worth it all. You can get a tablet PC notebook if you need touchscreen which has more features than the tablet. I would rather go with a netbook and save the money for other things.

Funny how this turned into an Apple bashing thread. Back to the OP...
That was one of my first thoughts before it was announced. But all that kind of went out the door when they announced it would run off an OS similar to iPhone OS. If it were OSX, then Diablo could be run no question, given the proper graphics processing (especially since Bliz claims they are developing the game to cater to lower end users.)
I don't know that Blizzard would spend the resources to develop an iPad version, although several games have been ported to iPhone before (Sims, Duke Nukem, etc.)
As far as controls go, I think it's totally feasible without a mouse. Not to mention there are several of 3D iPhone games in the vein of Diablo (Dungeon Hunter is a great example.. and that's just on the iPhone) that work quite well with touch controls. It would only be better with a larger device...
I think the iPad could replace a "real" computer for a lot of casual users who never need a computer for more than internet, email, videos and work. I personally think that iPad users will be such a big market that blizzard won't want to miss it.

I actually preferred the old mobile phones. They were more durable. I can actually use the number pad to dial. Most new phones in the past decade meant that I would have many typos due to my wide fingers. A phone that was only a phone. I do not like that phones have become everything but a phone. I only want my mobile phone to be a phone.

QuickTime is the biggest failure of a video player, ever -.-
Except that Quicktime supports a broader range of codecs natively than WMP, handles higher bit-rates much smoother than WMP, and is the main integrated component of almost all professional creative video/audio apps... sure.
Now, if you guys will get back to the main point...
Check out Dungeon Hunter. If this can make its way to an iPhone, I'm pretty sure D3 can be feasible on an iPad, although I doubt Blizzard would spend the resources. Plus there would have to be an alternate solution to Battle.net for it, I'd guess.
are you serious?? the iphone is literally better than the ipad. your basically asking if you could play an extremely advanced game, when it comes to graphics not to mention the processor power would need to be through the roof, on a cell phone... People are going to have trouble playing this game on their computers. on the ipad you have no mouse or keyboard? how do you expect to do anything? the thing cant even multitask? it doesnt have flash and you think you could run a game like diablo 3? LOL
here if you want a video on what the ipad can actually do heres your link broski, this will tell you if it can run diablo 3 i promise you.

you can only run 1 application at a time... how does a computer that can do this seem appealing to a gamer? lol
i run music, facebook, games, maybe Microsoft word if m in between school work, not to mention the thing doesn't even support flash. seriously can't play videos ftw? id rather have a laptop... you can get really small ones now that blow this thing out of the fuckin water.

You're off track here... It's not meant to replace a laptop. It's something for people who don't need the power of their MacBook lines; read: casual users who only surf, listen to music, and do docs and spreadsheets. Clearly it's a streamlined device, OS and all.
If your beef is power, then I think the iPad is still a contender in the gaming world, if game developers will take advantage of this market. Besides, one of the main aspects they demo'd at the keynote was games. And they didn't even show any that would use the full power of the device. I'd be willing to wager that on their A4 chip (1Ghz), it could run some decent games. I mean WC3 only requires 400mhz. Torchlight runs on 800mhz. There's potential, maybe not for D3, but at least for game developers in general, considering it's not a power-gaming device.
Certainly by the release of D3, iPad will have a bigger brother capable of the requirements. Maybe it'll be worth keeping in mind at least.

the ipad is not that small.. i see potential in this kind of device but apple failed and failed hard. What most apple users whom have their eyes open believe that this is just another one of apples marketing schemes to make money like they did with the ipod and the iphone, in a few months you will most likely see a new version of this ipad that has flash or multi-tasking capability but even if they did i could careless. Apple is a piece of shit company in my opinion for what they have done with this and so many of their products.
now that im done with that rant about apple i will just put it clearly. the ipad is no better than iphone. you will not beable to play diablo 3 on it... for many obvious reasons... a device that can not even run flash will not be able to run this. now even if they got the processing power down which i doubt they could, there is still no way they could account for the graphics on this game. have you seen the youtube videos? blizzard does set the bar low so that alot of users can play their games but not that low. I gurantee you they are going to take in account that in a year people will be more caught up when it comes to graphics and the game will be toned up a bit.
Having said this, the ipad would not only have trouble in those departments, you have to talk about internet and web access. This thing can't run battlenet effectively and on top of that the storage space of this game will be pretty large. You wont beable to access hotkeys? you wont have a mouse? these are all things blizzard would have to figure in. An ipad compatable version would have to be developed seperately, and blizzard isnt even sure they will release this on consoles.. you think they would take the time to customize it and put it on ipads? your dreaming and dreaming big sorry.

Yea but games wasn't something you listed.
Might wanna check out the iPad game list... Specially one called infinity Blade, with that kind of graphics engine, ANY game can be made for the iPad

Except that Quicktime is always hijacked by virusses, installs plug-ins you can't uninstall and has a terrible interface... sure.
Quicktime installs NO plugins whatsoever and I dare you mention one virus that was hijacked Quicktime, because it has NEVER happened unlike the piece of crap Windows Media Player.
Seriously if you don't know what you're talking about you might wanna stop making a fool of yourself.

Could we see mobile Diablo?
How could this benefit or hurt the game?
What changes would have to be made to accomodate this type of interface?
How do you think would this affect gameplay?
Would you play it?
Man, mobile piece of craps all over the place and people now would even want that kind of game on it.
This is ridiculous.
