I duno if this thread already exists, i searched but didnt find anything.
UPDATE: Okay so Airandius did post something about skills not too long ago, but this thread is more about the skill system in general. Coming up with different ideas and guesses as to what Blizzard is conjuring up behind closed doors....Large, heavy ones.
My question is does anyone have any idea what they might be doing now that "skill trees" aren't being used? (or at least they are trying something different atm)
I am just curious how they would handle the 3 skill concentrations per character. The Wizard has Arcane, Conjuring, and Storm. The Barbarian has Battlemaster, Juggernaut, and Berserker. etc, etc....
Do you think they will still have the different skill types/divisions and if so, how are they going to do that without a tree-like structure? Is it going to be tiered? Meaning, you have to spend X amount of skill points in tier 1 of the Arcane skills in order to move to the next tier and so on. If it is tiered, what will the structure or layout of skills be like within each tier? Would it be free reign on all the skills within that tier once you reach or unlock it?
Any ideas?

And thanks! Oath of Chaos made it... He was supposed to do an Avatar to match it, but I never heard of him after that xD. If anyone wants to, be my guest

I think they will separate each concentrations in tabs, like d2. But now you don't have skill requirment but level requirment.
I can't imagine another system for skills that work.
