Honestly, D3 is coming so late, I "might" just upgrade around when its released, but maybe not.
I got that thing for 400$ quite a while ago. I never upgrade unless its necessary. And it runs everything I throw at him. Maxed? No. But I'm not greedy. In my world, money doesn't fall from trees.
Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.40 GHz
2 GB standard ram
8500 GT Geforce
Everything else is basic, 2 70gb Hdd, standard old screen that takes lots of room, standard mouse and keyboard.
If that wouldn't run Diablo 3, then they just missed half of their fan base. I'm sure they are aware of that. Its insane how many people have computers worse than mine.
I'm not sure what I'll be using yet, because I'm waiting to buy a new desktop once the game comes out. I only have a laptop right now that doesn't have nearly the power that I'm guessing will be needed.
Mine's already 2 years old, so I'll probably have replaced it before Diablo3 release, but that's what I'll be using for SC2 I guess :
# CPU type:Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz
# System memory (GB):6.0
# Graphics card model:ATI Radeon HD 3870
# Hard disk size (GB):1,465.76
# Hard disk free space (GB):463.376
# Monitor: Dell 22'' + Samsung 21.4''
It still runs everything I want at max graphics configuration, so for now I'll keep it, but I'm pretty sure I'll change it before D3.

600watt psu
17" acer(want to get 24" asus eventually, 7 inch upgrade will be nice, weird at first, but nice)

for most people its pointless to say what rig were gonna be running for D3. by 2011 most people will have changed parts/done a full upgrade. not like D3 is gonna need anything that powerful anyways. 8800 series and ati equivalent will run this game maxed anyways.
well. i plan on building a computer anyway in 2010. just cause i want a main computer that can play games and i want to do some programming and web server stuff.
so i plan on building a computer.
so far i plan on
a quad core proccessor
at least 4 gigs of ram
1 tb hard drive
and the rest im unsure of at this point and time. except windows 7. running that now on laptop and it kicks the shit out of vista.
but yeah. im sure diablo 3 doesnt have to much of system requirements.

well, but here, in Latin America, people don't upgrade/change their pc as much as americans/europeans/etc.(japanese? Chinise?)
at least the avg people.
Probably that is why Blizzard won't go high on graphics. They know that in many countries, computers are still expensive stuff.

They confirmed it would not require dx10. dx9 all the way.

You should upgrade to the 150 or 300 GB HD Raptors by WD.
Preferably in the SATA 3.0, people dont know that your HD is half of your computer speed.
