Yeah. I Like playing both really. single player in diablo 2 was lacking. But it was still fun. more difficult but fun.
I would be impressed with d3 if......hmmmm...well im already impressed with it already. hahaha. lets see. for instance the starcraft 2 login screen. I would be impressed if diablo 3 had a good login screen. Maybe even at the login screen you can have your friends list and be able to talk to people from there rather then going into a channel.
I'd be pretty impressed with DIII it if also had a decent Single Player experience, which was largely ignored and forgotten in DII with all the limitations intended at group play.
What "limitations" are you refering to? I never saw SP as a limited experience in any ways. And nothing feels intended for group play.

-But runeswords are inteted to be ultimate hardcore items... When i read D2 forums and found out ppl planning builds with stuff like BotD i just vomit. Really, in SP a stuff like that is damn hard to get that i would never plan a builded aiming that item. Imo runewords are items that the player should only expect to get after a couple years of playing...

-Actually i like immunities. In SP you just have to plan you character aiming the long run and all the different challenges in hell. For exemple, a SP Barb must keep in mind the iron maiden thing and grab throwing mastery/dual throw. All elemental based character must plan their builds aiming to avoid immunities. Those challenges is what make SP challenge and plan a build is not just stack a bunch of synergies, it requires the knowlegde of every single challenging situation.

I completely agree with this. I think rare items should take years to find. It would just keep the game more interesting. So it should be incredibly hard just to find anything. That way when you have some legendary item, you really know its legendary! Because you took so long to find it!
Runes arent suposed to be uber anymore they are more baseline and are ust used for customization with some added bonus of course, but they are not uber items youll find every year itll be much mroe ocmmon cause runes no longer go nto items

I'm afraid we're talking about D2 . . .
And i think runes should have all levels of rarity. They said theres going to be 5 levels of rune quality... The last one could be difficult like a unic (TM, shako, mara's, etc..).
But I think some kind of item should have years-like difficult to be found like LoD's high runes. And lets hope ppl don't spread dupes this time.

-If it's turns out more a horror survivor/dungeon crawler then a arcade hack n'slash.
-If they put just a little bit more realism, like heavy armors decreasing movement speed.
-If the Barbarian have a good active defence skill like Monk's shield.

If there will be high quality runes that are very hard to get, the difference between them and the rune before shouldn't be too big. The important thing is that you always have something to strive for, in this case runes, not that those things makes you epicly more powerful.
But if the item utility output does not compensate the time input, search for those items will be quite frustrating. Stuff like runewords, wow's oranges, rangarok's mvp cards, lineage S items only works if when you see somone using one you'll shit bricks on the ground.
The power gained/time spent is a victim to diminishing returns.
I agree. If dimish returns didn't existed in item utility/time functions a character with ONE high runeword would win a 1v7 PvP with no efforts since get a enigma-like item is harder then get a 7 full builds of decent/top unics/rares (in a dupe free server).
Still, years of input even with dimish returns requires something really wonderfull to balance.

An item could be nowhere near as rare as some runes in D2 and still be pretty darn rare!!
If there are going to be 5 levels of runes, then the occurence difference between each level needs to be considerable. If not, then we will all soon have all slots socketed with the highest runes. If this is the case, then what is the point of having 5 levels to begin with?
But we can at the same time not let someone with level 5 runes have a too big advantage over someone with level 4 runes, it would screw up PvP (unless there is some kind of advanced matchmaking).
Again, if there is not a significant difference based on rune level, then what is the point of having rune levels?
A level 1 D2 char will 99% of the time lose to a level 5
Just thought I'd point out that you can't turn on pk mode until you hit level 9. Level 1 vs. level 5 chars can't happen. At low levels your survivability is really tied to your gear and charms. I've had level 9 chars beat a level 16 on hardcore mode. LLD ftw!
