HAs anyone seen or heard about anything about this has it been confirmed tht there will be In-game Voice Communication or will we have to use Ventrillo and other such Voip services.

I wouldn't mind having a voip system in game but it's not really necessary for a Diablo title. There are not often going to be situations where the action is so intense that typing vs yelling on the microphone will make a life or death difference.
Besides, I've found ventrilo to be easier to use and more reliable than most in-game attempts at voice communication, with the exception of Team Fortress 2, CS:S, and L4D.
Thats what i was wondering! I hope to have voip as well. Even if its not as important as for other games. It just makes it that much better and easier.
Ill have to check out Ventrillo. Has any1 ever used Skype for gaming?

This, and Ventrilo will almost always have better quality voice communication(TF2's is pretty good, but I still use Vent).

I guess having in-game communication is just "less trouble". Me and my friends never bothered. Anyone can make a ventrilo server for a few people, no problem, but why bother? However, if there is easy communication in the game, we are more likely going to use it.
The only important thing is that there one should never, ever have to deal with anyone's voice if they don't want to, and it should never be required (certainly not like say, WoW, raiding and mics ruined it completely).
Considering how similar Bnet 2.0 is to Xbox Live, I would not be surprised if there was a VOIP feature that enabled friends to talk to each other regardless of which Blizzard game they are playing. At Blizzcon they really seemed to emphasize staying connected with your friends no matter what you're doing on Bnet. To me this would be a no brainer, but we'll see what they do.
i just kinda feel like thats what ventrillo is for... better sound quality. most games that have voip stuff just lacks clarity and you can use vent with everything and people don't have to be playing the same game. Why would they bother putting in a ton of time and effort in something that doesn't really need to be worked on. sure it would be nice to have a great quality voip system in place with battle net but then your still going to have to log on vent if you want to play something eles with friends.
i will stick with vent one stop shopping just makes sence.
Well they probably make it anyways.. those who don't like it can use vent like what happens in WoW.
Casual gamers can use the in game one if they need it occasionally. I've also used it with my cousin since it was np when playing with 1 friend. I also like the feature that shuts down the ingame sounds when someone or you is talking.
it depends on B.Net 2 actually and i do think that Blizzard won't ignore such a function
I could've sworn someone mentioned this... o.0

Stay awhile, and listen.
let's just hope they implement it better than they did in WoW...

Its not mandatory in any way to have it, though.
