Blizzard have enough finished 4/5 characters....and all those monsters and maps saw on the gameplay trailers...are just for show!!I don think they have really been implemented in the full game yet!
I don think they are even close to completing the armors, weapons, music, quest, and CINEMATICS!!!
I honestly think the game is just 17% finished....ha....gotta wait do damn f*****king long@@
Just because you want the game to come out doesn't mean that the company should make decisions based off of you.
thats weird..i dont ever recall typing that I myself wanted the company to work around my desires...I stated the clear fact that everyone wants the game...not "I" want the game. Plus i think you are rushing your statements without any proof regarding when they did or did not have resources available during D3's initial birth. Ok..World of Warcraft, "although stale," is the most popular..still doesn't make its focus any more important than D3. Also..with each game having different teams..i believe that the diablo team would love to get the game out as soon as possible but is under the dictation of activision..who most likely holds a candle to the CASH they make and not the FANS!
They definately haven't finished 4 characters yet. They are still changing skill animations etc. (and the skills themselves)
Thats what I find kinda sad. The game was in the works for what, the last 5 years, and they are STILL adding, removing, and chaning spell effects on classes. Perfectionists will never be happy with the end result.

That's why I think they are further along than many posters think they are. I was saying in a similar thread, Diablo is easily one the most anticipated games to be released by Blizzard in years, I personally think they want to get it right from a product and marketing standpoint.
5 years, I'm betting they got quite a bit done in that time, tweaking look and feel isn't that hard to do in comparison to the mountains of code needed for the game and engine, filling content while tedious and detailed is not the same as making sure the core code is bug free. I'm thinking they will release before Q2 2010, 10.31.10 at the latest.

no they won't. They will not release all 3 of their titles in the same year. It just doesn't make any good business sense.

Oh Jesus.
Please tell me English is not your first language?
Because from your post, you do not seem too bright. If it English is your second language, it's cool.
Anyway, if you don't see Diablo 3 in 2010 it would be because they don't want all 3 of their titles competing against each other. But don't be sad about it because that will just give the developers more time to add more content.
I will 100% guarantee you that they wont release 3 games in one year. Especially considering a lot of people play all 3 games and will only have enough money for 1-2. It's just silly.
I SAY...
Who cares im sure we will all be busy with SC2!
Have you seen the Map Editor!?
YOU CAN MAKE FPS's!
I think it will be 2011 just because it will let people die down from starcraft 2
and that other game... WoW I think?
Plus I want the best!
I still think that, in that video, they should've named the Uberlisk the Ridiculisk, just because it was so ridiculous.
My only qualm with SC2 is that they added an option of having map makers put a price on their maps, and I hope we won't see that be abused. How are we supposed to know the quality of a map before we play it? etc.
But yeah, any RTS will probably be able to amuse him/herself with SC2 Until 2011...

1st off
"premium maps" aren't coming out with the game, they are tba
2ndly
no one would pay for maps, they would just wait for map makers to copy the map and watch as they release it for free
the maps you are forced to pay for will have a tiny player base while the free ones will be popular
the people who payed for maps realize they can't play the map because no one else payed for that map and then they no longer pay for maps
For some reason I saw the new page and thought it was a new thread about SC2. Doh.
I just assumed that widely popular TD maps and DotA style maps would become premium because they KNEW people would download them.
And to stop being off topic I'm hoping I can get my hands on Day of Defeat: Source, or maybe Left 4 Dead 2 when it comes out. FPSs generally suck me away for months at a time.
In an ideal world I'll get bored of my current games and Diablo III will be out.
(Yeah right)
...I wonder if they'll keep polishing the graphics as development rolls on so that it doesn't look like a 2008 game (in terms of graphics) when it gets released.

It's time to welcome the other 80% of the color wheel to a Diablo game.
Well I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit disappointed. At least the progress they are making seems to be impressive. I can't wait to try the game and kill MOBs

Yes but what a lot of posters here are not taking into account is the economic downturn. While some may ask "What does that have to do with anything?" It has a lot to do with it, you can count on Blizzard executives thinking about it.
For a moment stop an consider, the ALT-A and Option ARM loans are just now getting ready to go the way of the Sub primes, those defaults will peak in 2011, and all our deficit spending will lead to runaway inflation. More important than that, if we see (and it's quite possible, very possible) another market slide. Would you want to release a game hoping for huge sales in the shadow of a contracting panicked market? I don't think so.
I don't see Blizzard wanting to wait until 2012 to release Diablo either, so we may see Diablo launched later, possibly sooner. Either way you can bet Blizzard will be watching the pulse of national sales when they pick their release date, the point is, it's not business as usual anymore.
