So if any NPCs make it back aside from the obvious Cain, who would you like to return?
Personally I would like to see Jamella and Halbu return so we can learn a bit more about them. They always seemed interesting but didn't talk so there wasn't any explanation why they were hanging around in the Pandemonium Fortress.
A few others I'd like to learn more of but not necissarily from themselves would be Gheed and Ormus. If new NPCs could explain a little about what happened to them after D2, that'd be great.
And sorry if there is already a similar topic, I searched for one without any luck but admittedly could have looked harder.
I want Adria to return, although from the concept art it looks like they are already considering it or she is, in fact, planned to be in it. Adria was a witch after my own casting heart
The one you're talking about is Natalya I believe. She was an Assassin and a mage-hunter. The Assassins are not fond of mages or magic folk because they maintain that utilizers of magic are more prone to the seduction of demonia (as per demonic magic) than those who do not utilize magic, like the Assassins, who only use the power of Martial Arts, mechanical traps, and the mind.

Yeah, her investigation into Ormus is one of the things that makes me curious about what happened to Ormus after D2
Hm... Come to think of it, I think it would be cool to see more of her, too, or even of the Assassins- they are, without a doubt, one of the most elusive people groups of Sanctuary. I wonder what became of the whole affair- maybe it will be a reoccurring theme in Diablo III (or an expansion, thereof). Curious.
Natalya is a must for me, I always wondered why she just screwed off after you killed mephisto.
I'd also like to see what ever happened to Warriv and Meshif, maybe we'll be transported by them again ?

To be frank non of the NPC really did it to me in D2. in D1 the NPC's were much more memorable (too bad they're all dead :/ except Adria?).
If i have to choose, it will be Anya. I guess because you were the most involved with her. Also the way she says: "Nihlatak did this to me" while frozen always sounded sexy (i'm weird).
Of all the NPCs in D2, Anya would make the most sense. Since we are fairly certain the Barbarians play an important role in the story, she will have become their leader after the events of LoD.

It would also make for a good break-in for the breaking of the mental stereotype of male Barbarians, I think. It's hard to describe exactly what I mean here but I hope people get it.
It is going to be tough to say who will make a return. After all the opening town is "New Tristram" and the old one was burned downed to the ground. Not to mention with blizzard and their mountains of new NPCs that were artist rendered on the website. Cain and Tyrael is a definite...

He's funny as hell
If he had lost all his fortune(If he ever had one) I would LMAO.
I would like to see:
- Malah(She reminds me of my grandmother)
- Larzuk
- Qual-Kehk
But maybe they're all dead by age(Malah or Qual-Kehk) or Mt.Arreat's destruction. :/

Natalya, she watched Ormus to see if he gets corrupted but that never happens.
Edit: I has been said earlier in the thread.

I doubt that but there will be surely some npc's that are similar to him.
