Well considering I don't like WOW at all.... I've always been a Diablo fan I'm playing some old classics like DOnkey Kong or Super Mario Bros World when I get some free time (which isn't often, cause I'm mostly in books all year long!) . Also play some C&C 3 tiberium/kane's wrath when I feel like it. I found out that diversifying your gaming tastes keeps you away from games like WOW. You guys should try it and might find the strategy to your liking. I'll probably buy the game the day it comes out and maybe read the box + manual. I'll play the game after a 3 hour hockey match or an intense gym session Ya, I know, I'm being a total bitch towards myself but it's the only way I can really enjoy a game ...
Wow i'm off topic :S. To get back on topic, ya I already quit WOW (forever ending my 2 day career as a Paladin!). Can't wait for D3 in the future and the D2 patch in the near future
It's interesting that most of you diablofans play WoW but don't enjoy it anymore.
I have played WoW until level 15 and then I quit because the quests got boring (at first I enjoyed them with their backstory and all but eventually it all got the same).
I thoroughly enjoy WoW.
Yea, the quests get bland sometimes, but when that happens, I either do an instance, PvP, or go noob hunting.
Then during october, I drink beer and throw beer bottles at dwarves.
And during the winter holidays, I turn into a snowman and throw snowballs at random players.
Lol @ people who don't play WoW and think that WoTLK is "easy".
Lol @ people who got bored after "playing" WoW for an hour and getting to level 15. You didn't "play" WoW until you have found a raiding guild and started killing bosses.
And Lol @ at the assumption that one must quit WoW in order to enjoy D3. Unless I play D3 seven days a week, ten hours a day, I will have all the time I need in WoW.
I'd rather not put my sweat and soul into a game before a better one is released because it would make it so much more difficult to transfer from one to another. Even if it is from caterpillar to butterfly... I would not be able to choose between the 2; I would have conflicts with myself because it should be an easy decision; I would cut myself and then cry myself to sleep because I would, by then, put myself down so much that I would find living life pointless.
What I said... might not actually be entirely true... but (:cute:)... I think I made my point. (Btw, all in short means that I can't play 2 games at once. I just wanted to put random text.)
So, I guess... yes, I quit WoW for Diablo III with an entire paragraph of unnecessary text to point out why.

You are mistaken. Many people play WoW and rarely ever raid. For example, the Battlegrounds are -FUN-!!!
o.O Ever kill a gnome in one hit crit? Tottally worth paying 15 a month. Tottally.
By the time D3 comes out I think D2 will have completely died out by that time, with only the rare 1 or 2 people playing it like it is with D1 right now.
Doubt it. Too many bull rumors going around in the community.

But different things work for different people. For example, Daemaro plays WoW exclusively to level up and experience the lore and questing content. Something like that would be unthinkable for me. While leveling in the latest expansion is extremely fun, I always found the leveling aspect to be a chore, and I try to run through that as quickly as possible. I know that at least 90% of players feel the same way.
For me, personally, raiding is the only pleasurable activity in the game. It's very competitive and fun to put your guild high on the charts and work towards your personal character score. It's the aspect of the game that requires skill and dedication, and that's how I play D2 and how I will play D3 as well (though D2 didn't have any world-wide ladders and did not require any sort of playing skill to be successful). It's pretty damn obvious that Blizzard is aiming towards the hardcore people who want to dedicate to a game to experience the competitive factor in D3, as well as keeping the casual aspect of the franchise being the fact that you can log on and play the game on your own for 15 minutes or 10 minutes at times, and still exact entertainment from it. What little we know about D3 so far and the new Battle.Net speak to that, so I cannot be anymore satisfied.
You only need to play WoW three or four evenings a week to be successful, and I doubt D3 will require any more than that either. So it's perfectly reasonable to expect that one can enjoy both games, whichever aspects of them they find to their sensibility.
Well for the past for months I was playing cod4, then cod: waw (which was crap compared to cod4)..In december I will get Modern Warfare2, and maybe Bioshock2..
Right now, I'm chilling, not really playing any serious games; I need to study for S.A.T's

Lol. CoD 4: Modern Warfare pissed me of so much that I was about to throw my PS3 at the wall. I'm so happy I quit it.

Yes it can be quite frustrating a lot of the time cause you end up having noobs in your party that dont know the meaning of teamwork. I end up wanting to throw the PS3 at the wall as well.

Seriously? lvl 15? you did not even get to your first ground mount. How can anyone determine if a game is good from playing 1% of it?
I <3 WoW.
(Though, I will play WoW a little less for Diablo 3, but no way would I quit WoW.)
hahaha your one of the very few ppl who admits they would nvr permanently quit it
Everyone I know that quit said they would nvr dare come back...but always did(me included)
But I always come back. Too much lore and content and just stuff in Warcraft to outright quit.
<3

The only thing I miss about WoW was the people that I played with and being Undead(By far the sexiest race)!

Hate those little fucking bastards...
Lol. Well, someone hates little people.
Ok, anyway, getting off topic! So, I won't quit WoW for Diablo 3.
Lol. I'm pretty sure you made that statement when you started talking about violence and gnomes. Where else can you get it apart from WoW?
Doubt it. Too many bull rumors going around in the community.
