heres a spin, what if the limit was set to 10? That wouldn't be that bad would it? I mean it may be a bit more laggy but hey, with b.net 2.0 they are probably upgrading their servers any way so they might be able to handle 10 people
how bout tone down the effects of the game a little and let us play with more people? there was a poll here once that referred to what you care most about in a game. graphics was at the bottom. do people want the game to be fun, or the game to look cool?
I would say 5, but seeing as how it isn't an option, i'll vote 4. The more people you add, the less intimate the party's team-work becomes. The indivdual begins to count less as an asset to the group and becomes more or less, just a tag-along. Not to mention screen-clutter from 8 big-effect spells going off at once.
8 players max. Are you guys too lazy to set the maximum number of players in a game to 4? Also, if they are going to lower it under 8, it should be 5 I think, so each character class can be in the game at once.
5-6 player limit.
a map just for trading that allows 30 people.

I am cheese. I am loved by all. I go great with everything. Other foods hate me because I take all the glory. Like Nachos..Their just jealous cause no one eats them unless Im there. Shit..I even ruined broccili's rep. Broccili kept talkin shit so I was like. " You know what?, I think I might melt myself on some Broccilli. See how those humans enjoy that green [sexual slur censored] now." Shit...Now,People dont even touch him, unless Im all over that shit! Ahhh..Its not easy, being cheesy.. Peace. Cheese Out.
I have no preference between 4 or 8 players. The only question I pose for Blizzard is could they make an 8 player max without decreasing quality (lag and such).
Depends, really. If we can easily go and find a bunch of 4 players game (anything under 8 really), then I don't care that the absolute max is 8. I just don't want the majority of games to be 8 players lame fest.
I agree with 8 players, it was said on here before but with only 4 player max atleast 1 of my friends will be left out
Perhaps one of your friends. Or maybe just you...
Yeah, let's do 8 as maximum, but still allow for 1, 2 ,3 ,4 , 5, 6 , 7. Or we could just do like in KillZone 2 with 32 players a game... Ok just kidding.
I think 4 is a good number. Has anyone done a Baal run with 8 people lately? If you have, you will realize that you can't see anything with that many people casting spells everywhere. Also, I think it is just overkill with 8 heroes practically outnumbering the monsters at every single skirmish.
Now take into consideration that DIII is going to look more epic, more explosions, more chaos and destruction. I honestly don't think that will work at all with 8 players. Imagine the SiegeBeast battle with 8 players. Your visibility will be less than DII!!
I voted for 8 players max... The main reason is that four players is usually not enough. If your playing with more than 3 of your friends then somebody is gonna be left out, which sucks especially if it's you =P But you should still have the option to limit the max players from 2-8, as stated by GoldenCave.
I don't care as long as it satisfies everyone and makes the game play nicely on a normal computer
And for people who say 8 for trading stuff... I don't think it's such a good idea. I'm pretty sure that there will be something for traders and buyers in the Battle.net system
8 players max would be great to have lots of people to run with, but with 5 people creating the indistinguishable effects mess, I would prefer it at 4.
