How about another difficulty level? I read a previous post questioning boss runs. Well theres your answer. You could possibly hit level 99 mid way through the 4 difficulty level and from there on in its a matter of skill and item combinations. The difficulty becomes almost unbeatable and only the best of the best can get through it.
Better yet, what would the 4th difficulty be called?
Even with a fourth difficulty (I would like a one btw) endless boss runs will be the endgame for D3, the developers have said this is how they want it, and I agree. It wouldn't be Diablo without mindless mf/exp runs. But extending the play through length by adding an "uber" hard difficulty level does have issues, the biggest being that it may deter players from reaching endgame (for the average player), because D2 was rather easy to complete. This could result in a shortened game life, then again thats just speculation.

"Today a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration. That we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. There is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves. Here's Tom with the weather."
Yeah i guess u would still need to boss run for mf. But i dont think it would deter any players:
it may deter players from reaching endgame(for average players)
I think the average player is quite content to play a single run through on Normal mode. I could understand not creating a 4 dif on release but mayb an expansion or a 3rd party mod? I'd love 2 c a harder dif, even on D2.

I'm not sure if your trolling or not. I'm gonna give you the benefit of the doubt though, just this once.
For those who don't want to watch the video, here is what Jay says.
"There's a couple of issues there, hell difficulty did not span to the full game, it kind of loses its validity around level 80. We have to make some kind of adjustment to make sure we are using all the levels we are allowing the player to go to...The player will go to wherever is the most efficient place for them to go...A good example is in World of Warcraft, they focused on quests, they keep you from grinding a single monster until your eyes bleed, because quests were a more efficient way to level then grinding. What we really need to do is find a more efficent way for players to do what they want to do at the end game of Diablo, something that gets them to play more of the game as a whole." - Jay Wilson
So no, endless boss runs will NOT be the endgame for D3, and the developers have said they do NOT want it to be. It can still be Diablo without mindless mf/exp runs.

Thank you
Edit: I would love to to see a after hell difficult, were all monsters had the same level and all waypoints and acts were automatically open. This could be pandemonium mode.
Sounds like a dangerous idea. We might end up having Second Circle, Third and Final Circle.
Lol yeah I meant that only. Hell consists of several circles, and so we can add 5 more difficulty level to the game this way. Traversing from one circle to another.
I think having a difficulty past hell should only serve as a reward; Maybe something related to heaven.
Blackwing i think that's a brilliant idea. Mayb at max level or collecting certain items or even completing hell. I definitely like to see a Blizzard rendition of heaven.
Better yet, what would the 4th difficulty be called?
normal > nightmare > hell > please stay dead now bosses :-/

One rule about me:
If I'm going to tolerate your insanity, you will tolerate mine.
Almost all men can stand adversity. If you want to test a mans character, give him power.
You see what power is; holding someone else's fear in your hand and showing it to them.

Jay Wilson, Lead Designer on Diablo III, disagrees with your statement about their intentions.

Like God of war...Now how would that be???
Normal > Night Mare > Hell > Abyss
OR
Normal > Night Mare > Abyss > Hell
I like the first one, with abyss last. (Or diablo's anus.)
