Ahem....never played wow, I just think...food would be more....diabloy then health orbs...I mean...where do they fall from? Monsters asses? Pehaps if there is food there, then you can at least enter taverns and sit and eat, hear stories of battles once gone, and the like. Would be cool! I just don't see how...from a game where the dull bleak look of life, now has happy little fun balls floating all around the place...
What if they added food and made it like Fable? Eat unhealthy food and your character gets fat / eat healthier foods and you stay slim.
i didn't like this so much because i got really fat really fast. I had to keep buying celery to get my weight down, an it was just a hassel.
I don't like the idea of resting, but I do like the idea of having different numbers of monsters out during different parts of the day. This would be fun online imo.
Maybe an idea like this: Your HP regen rate gets lower if u dont eat. System would inform you with messages like "You are hungry" "You are starving" etc. etc. Eating would be fast, like eating potions. And then ur hp regen rate would be back at the top :>
This isn't much but it would make the game spicier :>
That honestly would be pretty funny. But we need to think of the ramifications. Does this mean carrying a slice of meat in the backpack? Takes up a slot. If it drops from monsters too often its purpose would diminish to "pointless thing to right click every few times".

I think it's funny that when in other games, animals just drop meats and such and the player eats them. Even though it is unprepared, on the dirty ground.

I think it's funny - the way your brain works.

The Barbarian is from Arreat, a very cold snowy mountain top, but they are much tougher than normal humans, so they don't need warmth.

Where are Barbarians originally from? Sumeria, or more specifically Mesopotamia, AKA Europe. Think the Alps and the Pyrenees

I don't see anything funny about that, video games use tons of allegorical ways to simulate real life simply because real life isn't what a game needs.

I think if they want food in game, they need to present it differently; that's my opinion.
That's why I wanted to keep potions.

Are you saying this doesn't happen?
It just never seems realistic. Particularly when a nasty goblin creature drops loaves of pretty bread!

how about a threasher T-bone steak?
I mean in a dfferent location; perhaps the ability to pick it from a tree.
threasher?!?
ah. ya, isn't the threasher the sand monster thing? i'm not the best speller if it's spelled wrong.
Back then, I would assume people have crazy awesome immunities.
i feel like this is going into the hack/slash stuff that Equinox is always talking about.
