I'd say it's the most likely upcoming time for a large update although I doubt it will be all that large if there is one. Maybe a new environment and a couple of journal entries, I wouldn't expect a new class reveal or anything of that nature.

Whens the next Blizzcon or World Wide Invitational? They will probably announce the next class then. I dunno, they seem to like announcing big things in front of a live audience.
Most likely they will release something juicy before the new year. Probably not a new class but one can always hope... You never can tell with blizzard though.

Well, I mean, look at the size of their fanbase....Then take another look at the networth that Blizzard possesses today. So I'm thinking that when a software company of that magnitude releases any relevant information on a mega product they are marketing for 2009, that they would do so in a fashionalble way. Not on Youtube or on a silly ass gaming magazine that most gamers don't even bother to buy. (Not that Youtube isn't a good marketing tool, but Blizz knows they will get free marketing from that website anyways)
So yeah, I do agree with their business plan of BlizzCon and WWI info release. It's appropriate since thousands are present and millions are watching. Kinda gets the message out there wouldn't you say...

Has it really been a month? Wow, it only feels like two, maybe three weeks ago. But more like two.
I really doubt they would announce a class at xmas. Most people are on holidays around then anyway, its not very logical to announce anything then. But hopefully they will announce a new city or something sometime soon, its been too long since they last revealed anything.
Big day for Blizzard on the 13th (14th) of this month.
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, Gutar Hero: World Tour (aka Guitar Hero: Rock Band) and Call of Duty IV all come out on the same day essentially world wide. lots of stuff going on for them then. Might tie them up a bit, but it possible they might throw out some news about Diablo III and/or Starcraft II.

Call of Duty 4 has been out for a while now, some months, and Guitar Hero has nothing to do whatsoever with blizzard, because it isn't competition in any direct way. Also, since Wrath of the Lich King is coming out they'd be more concerned about how that does and if there are any direct server problems, so it is very unlikely that they will release anything new then. All of the WoW fans will be playing that, and not caring about D3, and Blizzard definitely want those fans interested in D3, since they are making it so like the MMORPG giant.
Guitar Hero is published by Activision, and since the merger Activision-Blizzard, it most certainly could impact Blizzard marketing strategies. Whether it does or not in this case is of course hard to say.
But even without that, nothing major is going to slip out right now with the imminent release of WotLK only days away.
PlugY for Diablo II allows you to reset skills and stats, transfer items between characters in singleplayer, obtain all ladder runewords and do all Uberquests while offline. It is the only way to do all of the above. Please use it.
Supporting big shoulderpads and flashy armor since 2004.
All three of those games are owned by the same company (since the merge) and are released simultaneously on the same day world wide.
It might not be COD: IV but it's definitely a COD game.
I doubt this day will have anything to do with Diablo, but it will be a huge day for Blizzard none the less.
If one were so inclined one could assume that such a day would push plans for other things back a while, delaying any and all information.
But Blizzard generally works some what similar to a Stand Alone Complex. Several separate entities that while appearing to be individual are actually linked together forming a larger interconnected entity.

i couldnt answer that.
the next BIG announcement will probably be at the next blizzard event.
whether or not it will be aw WWI in 2009 i cant say.
it doesnt seem quite right though to not make any big announcements on a developing game for 6 months.
the best we can hope for probably is little updates here and there until the WWI then 2 class announcements there and then the last announcement at blizzcon '09
Very true, not even a tiny one!
