It has been a while since Blizzard posted their Fansite Kit on their website. In case you haven't seen it, then this is the time to do so. You can get the fansite kit here.
All diablo fans who have installed the kit in their sites can post the links in this thread for us all to view and comment. Am sure most of us here are pretty good developers and that at least few of you must have got the kit up and running.
You guys can check my site which I am still developing based on the fansite kit here at Diablo3Fansite.
Though the kit provided by them is useful, it cannot exactly cater to the size of the content. So am building up a blog with similar theme. Let me know if you guys want the wordpress theme. I will be putting up a download link to it once it is fully functional.
Feel free to rummage through the site and let me know if any changes are required.
Well am in college as well. Just try using Dreamweaver and google to learn about creating websites. Then try the fansite kit which Blizzard has provided. I created the Diablo3Fansite by learning from google. You too can try that.
Spam is not allowed on these boards (except in the designated Spam subsection of the General Discussion forum). Spam includes the following types of posts: one-word posts, intentional double-posts, thread necromancy (posting in an old inactive thread), and off topic posts. You also should not post in a thread simply to say that someone has broken a rule. If you want to help the staff, report the post, don't try to moderate it yourself.
Punishment: Temporary - Permanent Ban (Dependent On Infraction)
In case you wanted to know. Thread necromancy is basically just posting a reply to a thread that hasn't been posted in in a month or more. The thread is deemed dead. The only exception is if you are A) contributing new information or the particular thread you are necroing is already a spam thread in the spam subforum.
I don't in any way mean to be demeaning or anything by posting this, it's strictly for your benefit and I'm sorry if this offends you in any way
At your first reply to this thread, though: If you're thinking of actually building a whole website yourself, you have a little ways to go (CSS, JavaScript, PHP, relational databases, perhaps Python, etc.); however, there are many ways to do so with no code knowledge at all available (or very little), such as WYSIWYG editors like Dreamweaver. However, ultimately you will want to eventually have a good knowledge base in most of those areas or you won't be able to make your website all it can be. It can also help when you have to diagnose problems in the coding or what-have-you. I personally just find it fun, so I don't have an issue with it. I want to encourage you to go the extra mile, though, if you can. It can be a very rewarding thing to do to create a whole website from scratch. And that's what I have to say about that
