The barbarian has been upgraded and seems just perfect. I can imagine PvP might actually be more fun for them. But seriously, the current build seems overpowered.
You can attack literally a screen away with ground stomp and charge.
The extra mobility will put barbs on the map for pvp i think, but with so many ranged characters, will it be hard to balance the game and make chars interesting?
What happens when the WD gets in an ugly pvp situation..
Considering sorc teleport is likely, WD has no mobility, like a sitting duck in the water.
But, if WD could use fear on player chars, then...
I think that the current build was amped up for the gameplay trialer to show what types of chages they are planning to make. idoubt blizz will sign of on a char that isnt balenced and up to player standards so i wouldnt worry to much about sience its still in its early stages.
I'm sure PvP will eventually get a fine tuning, what we saw were skills made with only PvE/PvM in mind.
Some skills might become unusable in PvP, like in D2.
The barbarians range of movement shouldn't be too big a problem. They had teleport in D2 via Enigma and somehow the other classes still managed to put up a good fight some of the time.
They could make the casters have less HP but do slightly more damage, or implement a system that makes heavier armor less effecient for casters but they do more damage. Who knows how it will work for now. I look forward to finding out though.
Balanced for one but I'm thinking maybe they can make a triangle like Swords > Axes > Blunt > Swords type of thing only... Heavy Armored > Light Armored...etc.

The Diablo Series is one of the only games with such a crazy fanbase and no game can top that!

Like Heavy>Medium>Light armor classes. Each class has a PREFERRED armor type so they get penalized a little for using things above/out of their range but they can still wear it if they wish?
I love watching the Barb videos on the D3 site. Watching his awesome power destroy minions, and watching the blood and bodies flying all over the screen....the barb is a man beast for sure.

Exactly, penalized in either movement or damage... the barb "realistically speaking" is a heavy armored person who is stronger but should move slower than the sorceress/or who doesn't wear that much armor...so the barb should do more damage on the sorc but the sorc should move faster...something like that

ya but the barb is so ripped that wearing all that armor wouldn't really slow him down I prefer the FRW% that they had in d2 and i think they should keep that for mobility
im not quite uderstaning wat u guys mean by the penalty system. cuz it sounds like your say that a barb should be in the heavy armor class so that when he uses light armor he gets penilized by it making him move slower. that makes no sense. the mobillity will be fine.
That wasn't the penalty I had in mind. I was thinking maybe stats on the armor cut in half for armor outside of the classes preference or something. Slower would make it more unbalanced.
