That's why the game is broken. You can keep denying it though.
Correct me if im wrong, but enigma is battle.net item only right? Meaning its only availible in a mode that has trading. So how is it broken? If blizzard intended for people to trade (they did have that feature in diablo 2 right?) then it is not broken.

Yes, you're wrong. It's not battle.net only. And I doubt it was Blizzard's design to have so many botted and duped runes to provide enough runewords for anyone.
I also doubt that. But talking about a single player, the runewords are there, and iis almost impossible to make a enigma without trading.
They had allready said that one of the focus in diablo 3 will be trading. A pure mode is 100% against what they want to creat. Dimebog i think what you really hate is botting - not real life trading. So i think they must focus on anticheating mechanism.
The more I think about it, the more attractive the Idea of a non trading realm becomes. However, If every drop has someones 'name' on it, or it gains a name that can never be erased it does present problems.
1) Twinking. I loved twinking my little guys up from my elders. I don't think my interest in playing Diablo 2 would have lasted very long without this practice. Twinking made certain character builds viable, you simply couldn't count on finding the right combination within acceptible time limits otherwise.
2) What about situations where the zon has run out of arrows and you, as a sorc just happen to have some? I suppose 'name labels' could only apply to 'kewl lewt' then.
You really should develop the Idea a bit more before presenting it, for a start you'd need a new name. "pure mode" suggests that the other play realms are somehow "dirty", I don't think they'd like that.

I forgot which runewords were b.net only... And I agree with italofoca here, cheating is the problem they need to focus on.

The opposite of pure is tainted - not 'dirty'. D2 economy is tainted with duped and botted items.
This is an imperfect world so where there is a will there is a way. People will find a way make it easier.
Way off topic:
I for one am guilty of buying from a website. I had my reasons. After trading pretty much all my best gear for a hoz for my hammerdin. I have 2 comps by the way. I dropped the hoz on the ground to grab with my pally. Only to have a connect interrupt. The hoz was gone and so was the gear I had just traded. So I bought a hoz. Two days later mfing mephy I found a hoz.
I learned a few things from that experience. First and foremost don't drop transfer, battlenet might bend you over and ream your ass without lube. Secondly, with perseverance you can and will attain what you need whether through trade or self finding. Thirdly, even though I felt it was a waste of real cash I was glad to have the ability to get a hoz in minutes after losing the one I legitly obtained.
Take it how you will. Flame me for promoting the website side. I had my reasons.

Unfortunately no I didn't. I however did learn to do that. Trust me when I say I am still kicking my ass over that.
@italofoca almost impossible to make nigma without trading is right. I just made my first nigma this ladder after saving about a billion low runes and cubing them up. lol. I gotta say that is such a pain in the ass. It was worth it though. As I see no way that I could have gotten the high runes otherwise.

I was thinking that certain items you can get should be soulbound to an extent. For example, you have some quest that you have to save such and such person. The reward is you get to choose 1 of 3 possible items that are only able to be acquired through the quest. You look over the items and decide which you need most and select it. It personalizes the item with your character name and that item can neither be sold nor traded. Meh it might not work It was just a quick thought. I oppose the pure mode except for hardcore. I'd play that knowing everyone is on an even playing field. I could care less if people bought everything godly. That is their money they are wasting not mine and it doesn't make them a better player. Just a better geared character.

The only purpose of soul-binding items would be to prevent people from buying godly items using real money from farming companies. Your suggestion of limited soulbinding for personalized items only is terrible...because it no longer achieves the goal of eliminating (or even reducing) the buying/selling of corporate-farmed items, but it also ruins personalization...nobody would want to personalize a good item if it ruined that items trade value.
Also, you state that "you oppose pure mode except for hardcore." Look, let me remind people once again, we are referring to it as "pure MODE" because it is a special MODE, which does not apply to regular online play, and is designed to accomodate the more serious players only without affecting gameplay of people who are happy with the plethora of farmed items. That said, pure mode could be used in hardcore, or it could be a third option. I dont think its reasonable to have there be 3 different play options, that just splits the community up more than is necessary..considering that it is designed to cater to the more "serious" players already, and so is hardcore, they should be combined.

No what I meant was, a godly item coming from a certain quest that once you select your reward/the weapon/armor or whatever it may be it gets personalized and soulbound. You are absolutely correct, it is a terrible idea. It would do nothing to curb 99% of all the other gear people would spend real money getting.

lol i had to login. just to tell u not to listen to this idiot dimebag.
1. 2000% mf is overkill u will NOT find "UBER" uniques just because u have 2000mf. 400mf is the most needed. +with 2000 mf i would just say u probably have a hell of time just with HELL andy. 2000% means that u have almost no +skill/ kill gear on, which means ur a weak fuck. and lvl 99 has nothing to do with it.
2. Dupes are the PRIMARY thing that fucks up the economy. if u say dupes dont do anything to the economy i have never met someone as ignorant as you. Ex. if ohms are going for 120fg a peice, but a duper decides to make 30 ohms and sell them for 50 a peice. EVERYTHING in the market is lowered.
If u think just because u buy your items u will be amazing.....i would love to make an example out of you how you are wrong.

This thread is not about forum gold or D2JSP. Why are you implying that D2JSP is even a part of the economy?
Next time you decide to log in, try reading the thread first. No one gives a shit if you are amazing or not.
maybe because d2jsp is the diablo2 economy....u can choose to beleive it or not. d2jsp runs diablo2. EVERYONE who has anything that knows anything will trade at d2jsp. ur fucking bad and ur likewise ideas are baseless. please go qq somewhere else.

No, that's not true, and not true at all. D2jsp is like 1% of the diablo 2 economy. You guys at d2jsp are too proud of yourself. Maybe you have a lot of active traders, but diablo 2 have more, really, more players playing than this little d2jsp.

lol. baseless yet again. I can easily link u to a list of d2jsp users....1% of the economy lol ur possibly retarded. most people in trade games are d2jsp users. If a person finds ex. Eth DeathCleaver. they arent gonna join a trade game to try and trade that. first place they are going is d2jsp. anyways we arent talking about how many people are playing. even though every bot in itself is a d2jsp user. Now say if a scrub like u had something good and u joined a trade game....u most likely would get lowballed from a D2JSP user because they actually KNOW the prices. show me ur facts kiddo and stop pullin shit out ur ass. 1% u must be an idiot. more like 80% of the economy.
401,000+ members.....thats alot more than i could say even play this game anymore.
