If i'm thinking of like the same type of willpower as you, I really don't think they will do that. It's Diablo, cmon mana/energy all the way!
Well willpower can cover both fury and mana. I'd think using fury to enable whirlwind or conjuring an undead mongrel to do your bidding both could consume willpower.
We already know willpower=/=stamina. Some of the barbarians skills said "Requires x Stamina".

Energy sounds more like something related to your physical ability. Willpower is somehow more logical to me since it also increases mana regen rate, and obviously whatever type of thing Barbarians will use (fury?). They might also be renaming it because it may have a third purpose, such as... perception? Casting rate? Resist a magical attack? That all sounds more like willpower than energy, so everything is possible.
I've never really got into barbs, haha idk why, thats like the only character i haven't maxed out passed level 90. Um, a SKILL having to require stamina? Elaborate please?
There needs to be some type of intelligence or willpower stat otherwise there would be no way to differentiate between casters and melee types. If there was no intelligent stat you would need to ask why a barbarian cant cast the same spells as a sorceress, or why a druid can't summon the dead. Sure a class difference help, but at the same time one would imagine it would take more concentration to summon a spell than it would be to simply rush into an enemy and hit them. Intelligence in a game usually does not mean IQ, but simply a measure of concentration in a sense. While willpower simply means what it does... the will to do something, and usually takes the form of spell resistance. At least that is what I have seen.
Stupid idea. Your Str should both boost your damage and allow you to wear heavier gear. Why would I ever want to put more points in stamina and not life, given that vitality gets split into two. Just as energy effects both your mana and your mana regeneration rate. Also, each class benefits differently in different fields, so a Sorceress will gain more mana from energy and less health from vitaliity, whereas Barbarian recieves five health for each point invested in vitality. I don't see how tearing this system would make things better, for everyone would just try to maximize things they have to have.
Yes i also don't like that system. But the guys asked and I answered.
And about the status system, excentially it should be the same.
I just think that some types of items (like staffs or some special helms) should've Energy requirements.(Willpower, Spirirt, wheterver). I think its unfair a caster need to put points in STR for use armor but barbarian need no ENE cause nothing requires energy.
Also the increase in STR should be really significative to the damage.
And energy should be something excential to the caster (maybe now it is once we will have no more mana pot spam for infinity mana pool).
Daemaro, don't you think perhaps it boosts your stamina by 35? These spells might not consume any resources yet? Remember that health and mana losses/gains in the video were scripted as well.
I don't know man.... That barb never received any significant (visible) damage at all, until the point they were about to demonstrate how health orbs work. I'm pretty sure it's scripted.

Im with this guy on that one that was totally scripted
Where's that picture from? I haven't laid eyes on that yet.
That picture is directly captured from the gameplay teaser, when he's about to switch his skills up to include whirlwind.

Hmm well I suppose it could mean that but the placement of the text makes it seem as if it takes stamina. Like with Furious Charge and fury.

Battlecry uses stamina.

If you were open minded you would know that both spellings are correct.
It's the decisions you make when you have no time to make them that define who you are.
