It would be cool after you kill someone in duel to have "Save Duel" option that allows you to save it (in file less that 1 mb) and later to watch it with "Diablo Duel Player". Also when you open it with the DDP, there should be option that can export it in .avi file.
This will help competitive gaming to develop.
that and separate xp that u only get from dueling. so when u kill a lot of people your dueling level goes up, but if you die in a duel u lose duel xp. it would be like regular xp except you would have to kill much less to level.
It doesn't make much sense to have a record/replay feature in a game like Diablo, but I definitely wouldn't be against such a feature. It'd be easier to pass around various game experiences to friends.
Warcraft 3 had a replay feature. It confused me the way it worked though. I could never tell when it was recording.
Its always recording. You can select "Save Replay" after the game is over to save it to a file, otherwise the last recorded game is always saved as "Last Replay" in the replay folder.
I don't see a record / replay function fitting in with a diablo game.
Doubt we'll see it in game but there are tools that already do this. Fraps is one of them. People do it a lot on other games.
