I just wanted to start this thread to see what would people like to have, regarding Unique Monster's Bonuses, in Diablo III (Like Extra Strong, Stoneskin, etc).
I wanted to divide it into three types: What you would like to keep, What you would like to remove and what you would like to be added. Please add explanation if possible.
To keep: Elemental Enchanted, Extra Fast (Makes for challenging and fun monsters)
To remove: Teleport (Really doesn't pose a threat, more of an anyonance).
To add: Something along the lines of creating duplicates (Ala Baal, but much less powerful and only melee: no special abilities).
I'm not sure if uniques will come back in D3 as it appears that they have been replaced by bigger nastier monsters, but in case the monster's bonuses are still in the game
To add:
Extra vitality (adds a lot of hp and life regen)
Blink (the monster teleports randomly to avoid your attacks and do hit and run on you regularly, much better than teleport and more annoying)
Tweak: Stone Skin. This should only apply to melee damage, not spells as well. What they did for stone skin was give the mob more health; instead, they should have increased its defense.

Thanks, he explained that himself. Which I would've understood the first time if he had just said L/C/F Enchanted. "Elemental Enchanted" doesn't exist.

Yeah, that may be so, but you haven't thought of something better thats more appropriate for stone skin than just giving it a bunch of health.

I didn't say L/F/C Enchanted because I wanted to leave the option for more elements (poison, or whatever). Probably should have been more specific either way...:thumbsup:
That sounds positively dangerous... I am imagining kind of something along the lines of:
-If a missiles comes straight at me, I dodge it.
-Stay back from the Barbarian.
-Do not attack the summoned, but the summoner...
or things like that? Anyway, sounds pretty cool but hard to implement...
I hope they will implement it at least for bosses. Maybe only in hell or increasing AI according to the number of players/difficulty. Would be awesome !
I can only imagine the conversations online if super AI gets implemented...

uhmm... guys gameplay footage when the witch doctor uses the zombie wall a bunch of night clans, or so it seems fall into the trap and one is much more powerful and runs untill found and killed by witch doctor and barb so this could be one of the unique types of monsters in d3, if there are uniques
Keep:Spectral hit, Elemental enchants
Remove: Tele
Tweak: Stone skin HEs right uping defense mmakes it harded to hit therefore harder to kill and only up physical defense not elemental resistence.

That sounds positively dangerous... I am imagining kind of something along the lines of:
-If a missiles comes straight at me, I dodge it.
-Stay back from the Barbarian.
-Do not attack the summoned, but the summoner...
or things like that? Anyway, sounds pretty cool but hard to implement...
That plus things like running away to another mob, running than suddenly attacking you, using different tactics on different characters (Like you said) or breaking down walls to 1HKO you
the one thing that was on Diablo 2 release and they cut is the "thief" ability. Lord DeSeis had it and he used to steal potions from the players (he stole my Ume's once, i still have no idea how he managed). He dropped the stolen stuff after his death again (again, my Ume's dropped identified and i was like "wtf?").
Would like a feature like that back, made me think twice before moving closer to him, especially if i didnt have many pots (that was the most usual thing he stole).

I think it would work now with the individual loot system, but if you leave the game and make a new one, you need to get your stuff back. :cool:

Possesion: Possesses a random player/summon for a time and uses players spells/skills against party

Add: uhh.. Self Destruct?
Remove: Agree with teleport.

but it definitely kept you till you kill the enemy. at least there werent the immunities back then.
