After pondering some more on the video, a pattern emerged to me....I didn't notice any single target attacks by any of the classes! (Except basic attack)
Barbarian:
- Cleave - 180 arc
- Whirldwind - 360 down a straight path
- Charge - Straight path
- Hammer - Small PbAOE
- Leap - Landing Aoe
- Seismic Wave - Straight Path
-Ground Pound - AoE
Witchdoctor-
-Zombie Wall - Line AoE
-Fire Bomb - AoE
Pet Explode - PbAOE around pet location
Soul Harvest = PbAOE
Horrify - PbAOE
Mass Confusion - AOE
Locusts - AoE...Plus infectious spread
If i am forgetting anything please add it...
Is it just me or does it seem like the single target attacks from D1/D2 are gone? Personally it doesnt bother me since it means less carpal tunnel and I have been a bigger fan of classes that use more AoE style spells (Sorcerer, Necromancer).
Let me know what you think about it, or prove me wrong if you can.
I agree that they didn't show any single target skills, but those are boring to demonstrate when you want to show off the mass destruction that those classes are good at, and frankly Diablo is made for.. But, I hope they do have some single target skills for boss fights.

Well from the Video all the info we got was Battle Cry... But the skill window showed 4 different shouts (one being battle cry)...
Here, I spliced them together:
just noticed, Blizzard needs a spellcheck.

Well if they are going to be complete replicas of D2, than my assumption would be that the Red icon is Howl, the Blue icon is Battle Orders, and the Yellow icon is Battle Command, but that's just a guess from what they look like...

Watching 240 guys talk trash about cavaliers is like two retards having a slapfight over a sippy cup.
Single target skill would be ok if there was max 5 targets at once after that it becomes annoying. It is damn annoying in D2 that when you start the game the starting areas are totally full of the carvers and fallen thats some mad clicking when all your skills before lvl 30 are single target basically, at least with barb. The further you get the less monsters you meet (if we don't count flayer) and they are bigger and stronger and give more exp/mob.
At the beginning of the video just after he kills the ghouls he attacks swinging the axes as if single target attacking.
There are single target attacks in the skills videos from the barb and WD.
They didn't use those in the gameplay trailer because they're trying to show flashy things to get you interested; single target attacks are typically not flashy.
Well I don't see much use for the single target skills. They were never really used much, at least people always tried to find ways to make aoe builds working even when they got nerfed and such.
Perhaps the skill trees will be a lot different, allowing more choises. So you could have lots of aoe skills then perhaps 1 massive damaging single target skill for 1on1 situations.
So ya there were single target attacks shown in the videos, but they weren't skills, they were just the standard melee skill.

So yeah, we'll need a lot more crowd control skills. I do believe there'll be some single target skills, but they won't be that many of them.
I saw some shouts, so probably just like D2.
