Yeah I am all for strict naming rules and last names. Whatever makes it feel more like an RPG and I'm not playing with just random people with random symbol and letter names.
Personally I don't see the use. I , like most diablo players, don't do the wow thing, we make names that arn't actuall names. More like "BigusDickus" "Bowjob" "XxX_Killerz_XxX" Or something lame like that. I guess if you were going to actually name your guy it would be cool but who actually does that . . .
Um...me?
Perhaps I'm just a minority.

It's time to welcome the other 80% of the color wheel to a Diablo game.
Just because you don't use last names in your characters in your games the feature becomes stupid? Review your concept of stupidity, pal.
Also, Diablo 1 HAD spaces, I name my Warrior as Lothar D'Sparil back then. I don't know why Diablo 2 did not have spaces, but I managed to force it by renaming the character in the save files - thought it only worked in SP, any atempt on BNet resulted in a crash...
Resume: I WANT SPACES IN D3, I WANT LAST NAME FOR MY CHARS!
Well I know this doesn't fall under a last name technically...but I always thought that it was cool that after you beat the game you became known has Sir [ ? ] what ever your name was....I thought it was great that they added that extra title to your name, do to beating the game....in fact that brings up an idea! I personally think it would be cool to have a list of different titles given to your character...depending on things like your playing style, Number of enemies slain...just like we have different titles depending on our number of post....but that is just my opinion...I'm pretty sure someone will bash it lol all well.
Underscores did not fit in with my roleplaying feel.
I agree, I enjoy more realistic names. Not HammerSpammer123

Meh, I really doubt she can 'sense evil' or whatever. She was probably just excited about a shoe sale or something, coincidentally when evil was about.
