Music that doesn't have the woman's dumb egyptian voice in it, it's used in so many games, and it's not Titan Quest or the movie Gladiator. The music that suits Diablo is music you heard in 1 and 2.
Ok, i was kinda... stretching the truth when i said not many people realise it.
Though, i did mean it in the sense that it can make one game completely unique to all others.. even more berable to play.
If anyone had an amiga or another old gaming platform they will probably remember the tunes of their fav games, i know i do
To the extremeties - who the hell would play a game with barbie world playing in the background if you couldnt turn it off?
*EDIT*
Diablo 1 had eerie sounds and strange noises, but could that have been partly to the less advanced music composing or diffrent type of music composing for games? I know ages back it was mostly computer generated, but near present there is an increase of orchestra based soundtracks. My 2 cents.

The orchestra based soundtrack is still mostly computer generated. In any case, I don't see why would I want to listen to classical music while playing a video game. I want something more unreal. DI music synthesis generated sounds that could be done by monsters, objects falling, etc. That's why it was good - it has partially music, partially sound.
The main theme is very epic certainly but everything else is not, the ambient sounds throughout the gameplay demonstration were better than anything I've heard in Diablo 1 and 2.
I totally agree, but I dont get what your saying with 'very epic' being like something bad:confused:
This piece alone is better than the entire soundtracks to all the previus games, which were just mostly drums and sound effects anyways:
I just hope tomy writes for more tracks, his in-game ambient stuff is awesome, but bliz shuld let him do some melodic and hardrock stuff to! Seriusly dude, Tomy wood take it to a hole new level:

Has anyone ever played Prince of Persia : Warrior Within ? That game has had the worst in game music I've heard in years. They use many God Smack tracks, it couldn't get anymore corny or away from the atmosphere. If they had included Ambient music Similar to
Soul Reaver 2, I would have enjoyed it much more. I use Soul Reaver 2 for an example because the combat music, as well as the non-combat music went well with the theme and what was going on, it brought me more into the game, and enjoyed it further. Prince of Persia : Warrior Within does the exact opposite with it's horrible sound tracks. What's worse is that if you mute the music, it mutes the cinematics/voice over to.

i like this ambient stuff
Concur. Love that reverb'n 12 string guitar.
Errie sounds.
strange screams.
didnt have that epic feel to it.
either way im usually too busy listening to the death screams of demons to hear much of it.

I Laughed.
Please, stop.
Yes the new stuff is good. No, it's not better than the original stuff.
How do drums and sound effects not make music? Go learn what music is and come back here before you post again.
